They're infinitely further on!!

I know when the Tories are doing really bad because the 'both sides are as bad as eachother' starts instead of an actual defence. The Labour front bench is light years ahead of the current government in terms of talent, there's no equivalence.

Are they infinitely further on? How so?

They've swapped Corbyn for Default Man. All the old scores are still there to be settled, the same feeling that they're much happier fighting each other than the tories. The same crackpots saying the same things every so often. At the moment they're still the 'hold my beer' party in many people's eyes.

Not exactly a Blairesque transformation into a party that looks eminently able and ready to govern.

Replacing ****e with ****e-but-it's-wearing-my-team's-colours and celebrating it isn't a way to improve the standard of politics.

They are in the minds of the electorate and that's all that matters.

Whether that's by improving or looking better at the side of what you're standing next to is irrelevant.

Truss was voted in by default because her opponent was seen as the worse of two evils.

Labour will be elected on the basis that they can't possibly be worse than the last last twelve years.

Gordon, both of those posts are really clever ...

... which proves there is intelligence and wit out there.

People thought Gordon Brown, Major, Duncan, Teresa May had been humiliated and kicked into the ditch ...

... Truss will be the one doing community service, in her favourite high-vis jacket, clearing out the ditches into black plastic pags.

Boris will have a career doing his blustery ex-Eton routine on the after dinner speech circuit while she'll never be gainfully emplyed ever again.

She's the Ian Holloway of politics ...

... one crack in the PL, messed up and ended up at Grimsby.

Holloway's kids are supposed to all be deaf but I think they're just pretending and don't want to hear what shyte he's spouting.

Thankfully Truss's press bulletins are so brief I don't even have time to hit the mute button <laugh>

Sadly the supervisor is Hunt who's now in the best position he's ever been in and knows it.

He'll claim all the credit, if it goes well, and blame the daft lass if it goes wrong ...

... he's now the PM in everything but the title and everyone knows it.

An unelected lame duck Prime Minister being controlled by an unelected ****. Sounds about right <laugh>

But will the grey-haired old Cotswold Doris's, who elected the British PM, be feeling any guilt or remorse ....

... or will they lay the blame on Diane Abbott and Not606 <laugh>
Nah, they won't really give a jot. Sitting alone in their five bedroomed detached cottage in Suffolk safe in the knowledge their pension is triple locked whilst muttering about putting young people in the army :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I knew it was all our fault, we just don't get business or how to maximise public finances for our families and friends.

Being more capable at doing the job is what matters.

In the minds of the electorate, UKIP did very well indeed. Would you fancy Nigel as PM?

Sad but true.

Tremendous craic one and all, it was great chatting with you all...

Now there are fears that UK assets will come under more pressure next week after the Prime Minister's U-turn on corporation tax and sacking of chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng failed to assuage her political critics or answer doubts over the Government's finances.
