Aye they did do well last season in Europe. Came close too. Ill concede, but generally in the last 20 years, scottish football has been on a downhill slide
Yeah, I agree. UEFA can't allow two Scottish teams to compete in the champions league, again. They've made a mockery of the elite competition in club football. I'm not sure how they'd pull it back but maybe this is just a bad generation. Scotland used to produce some of the best players in the world.
Back when they had Seb Larsson and the like in that league it was pretty good viewing. Since then they've had peak players like Georgios Samaras.
Old Firm clubs would do fine in English league in time. Obviously their current teams would struggle if you plonked them straight in but it wouldn't work like that; give them the TV money and they'd catch up easily to all bar the top 3 or so fairly quickly. It would be the end of the likes of Spurs for sure.
Absolutely what Libby said. Two massive clubs who are known around the world. If you give them the revenue our teams get they'd be front runners.
I wouldn't want their sectarian/unionist tripe at every single ****ing game tbh. You know for a fact they'd be sniffing their own farts about being the hardest jocks to ever come out of jockland.
it's cos they're ****s mate I was going to include Arsenal too but didn't want to sign up to a years worth of Piskie quotes/tags.
Yeah me neither, can keep all that ****e up there. Long as **** away day too. Your place is far enough thanks
It's based on the fact that Harry got them relegated and he got us into the CL. It's based on the fact that when they bankrupted themselves they sold us Bale with a sell on agreement of 25%...which they then cashed in for a million and Tommy Forecast. It's based on us selling them a broken Jamie Redknapp and us buying Bale, Wanyama and getting Alderweireld. It's based on them being song stealing ****wits. @Libby to confirm
That just sent Chivers down my spine ... Amyways ...stop whinging, that's footie ... we sold you Peter Rodrigues ... and he went on to lift the FA Cup for you (also for the over 50s)
oh i'm not arguing that Scottish football is ****e just both Celtic and Rangers have years where they do win a few European games . My guess is even they don't earn much more than all sorts of obscure foreign teams.
Imagine coming from the Scottish League and within a few seasons achieving the dizzy heights of top 4 Something the likes of Saints have never achieved and they've had a head start of 30 years Joke making up the numbers kinda club
