There are quite a few 'stereotypes', but it doesn't really matter in my opinion. If you can play, you can play. I have seen a few very fit ladies playing tuba before. Try googling these brass bands, and you'll get an idea mate: Black Dyke (don't get excited, it's not what you think, honest Brighouse and Rastrick Fodens Richardsons Cory Band Redbridge. Enjoy
