Look at what Martins said about not coming to City “But, unfortunately, at this time, the conditions that would allow an agreement were not met.” So not at this time , but maybe at another time after Acun agrees to his demands?
I can’t believe acun flew him in, had pics done etc…then conditions were not met. Surley all the big issues are ironed out before we do all the above
Acun likes to negotiate. The conditions Mendes was speaking about could be any number of things. Whilst the training facilities aren't great, I'd be amazed if this was the reason. Remember some of his prior success came with smaller clubs from leagues with less money than the championship. It could have been a refusal to accept all of his background staff, or even a clause that would let him leave if a Champions League club came in for him.
The more I read we sound very much like Forest from last season. No leaders. No plan. No direction. Lethargic players lacking interest and belief. There must be another Cooperman out there!!!! Perhaps someone like a BFS might at least address some of the issues and get us out of the brown and dirty. Because that's where 22/23 is heading.
I think its bizarre how quiet it is compared to when we first sacked Shota. We were being linked with managers left, right & centre every day, odds going up and down, ITK ppl on twitter speaking out... now absolutely nothing. Im waiting for the inevitable announcement of some random Turkish manager..
I hope so as if he doesn't the wheels are going to come off his dream very quickly (the wheelnuts are already starting to loosen) He ballsed up by appointing his mate Shota as manager He has brought 16 random players in over the summer with no plan of how they are to actually play together as a team The table doesn't lie, we need an experienced manager to sort this mess out ASAP
I suspect it's because many people think the players need a rocket or 3 up their backsides and the aforementioned managers are seen as the kind of men to deliver it
The team needs the addition of a couple of gifted, hard grafters in the middle and a better centre half than we already have. Oh and another forwad. It's all been said before. We'll just have to sit it out and wait and see what happens Onwards and ?
I wouldnt mind d him here, but that's only based on what he has achieved with the lesser clubs in other leagues, but there will have to be a major shift in goal posts I susoect for it to come together
Seri did this to us and it worked, he ended up getting what he wanted after walking away. I suspect Pedro is trying something similar. From what I heard he was quite excited to join.
