West Bromwich Albion have today parted company with Manager Steve Bruce.

Backroom staff Steve Agnew, Stephen Clemence and Alex Bruce have also left The Hawthorns.

The club would like to place on record its thanks to Steve Bruce and his coaching staff for their efforts since arriving in February.

Under-21s coach Richard Beale will oversee first-team affairs on an interim basis, assisted by James Morrison and Gary Walsh.

The process of recruiting a new Manager is now under way and an appointment will be confirmed in due course.

He did really well for Hull City in very difficult circumstances. Good luck to him.

Am I right in thinking he scored 19 goals in 1 season for Manure?

    He did. 1991/92 season.

Eleven penalties and eight from open play - mostly headers.

Get ready for comments from clueless fans in HDM and on Facebook calling for a dream team of Bruce, Barmby and Daws.

Can't think anyone will be stupid enough to give him another job- hes been a total failure for years now - he should call it a day and live off the millions he's received as compensation for being crap

Not a great surprise, I hope he considers retirement now. He was great for us, but his ship has sailed, and coaching/Management has moved on.

Looking at the expected candidates for the WBA job, this is going to make Acun job a bit tougher, as most are on his list from what we are led to believe.,

Well, they can only pick one - leaves plenty for us to choose from. Hopefully we don't leave it too long

If he can’t get a team like WBA playing well, why the **** do people think he’ll rock up here and sort us out?

And yet, still posters are suggesting the likes of Warnock and Allardyce!

Exactly, they have had their day, you have to move on with the times. Thankfully with Graham Potter & Eddie Howe getting some success younger British managers are starting to come through.

I agree, but having said that, it's so bizarre how time and again we see a manager be successful with one club then poor with another.

In Bruce’s case, he was half-decent at one place (us) and absolute ****e everywhere else.
