Well. That ended better than I thought it would at half time. Clarke through the middle has to be the way forward until Simms or Stewart are back. He has more of a presence and will win fouls. Disappointing but maybe this result is a bit of a reality check for those who thought we could make the play offs.

Thought we played some excellent stuff in the 2nd half and on another day would have got a point. All in all It's been a good start to the season.

Mowbray will want the Boro to finish above us and stop up, he changed that team when we on the up but rubbish first half cost us 37,000 average a joke for this lot, these owners are worse than Short and Murray and they can frig off next summer penny pinching again get out and find a striker for christ's sake or forever cop it.
:emoticon-0140-rofl:

We obviously miss a striker , but that's not going away. A gamble we got away with outstretched daughters up.

Not bad today in the second half, I thought, though the midfield two looked outnumbered too often for my taste.

i don't see us scoring many " tap ins" until we play around a centre forward. Six goals from four games without one is pretty good, but four of them were belters, and only Alesi's was a close range opportunist job.

But there is nowt to be done about it until January. So let's hope we can pick a up a few wins before then. If something isnt done in that window, we can whinge away I'd say. Inward bound only mind!

Wow so he isn’t actually just a mag on a windup or something?

He's harmless, just not all there upstairs. As in, genuinely has some sortof mental disability - I'm 99% sure. If you look at his post history, it's pretty clear he just doesn't understand the real world. If we win a couple games, he says we're the best team in the world, and starts (genuinely) suggesting we sign the likes of Aubameyang, get Ancelotti in as manager, etc. As soon as we lose, he thinks every single one of our players, the manager, and owners are all completely useless and need to be sacked. If a defender scores a good goal, he says we should put them up front. His brain simply can't process any nuance, everything is black or white to old monty.

Apologies, you didn't say you wanted him out, you just questioned him after 6 days, implied that he'd lost the game deliberately due to his allegiances and had a rant about him signing an autograph for a 5 year old girl. Much more reasonable.
Aye, he’s doing a great job… isn’t he?

What would you have him do that he is not currently doing, bearing in mind we have no fit strikers and a very young and relatively inexperienced squad?

I hadn't noticed that mind! I'll just glaze over him in future.

It's a disappointing loss. Very slow start. Just don't seem able to hold the ball up top and bring in the wide men or midfield. I will say it again needs must Cirkin back in and alese up top to give us a physical presence. He's quick and strong and might just see us through this difficult time. It's not ideal but Pritchard is bang off form and really isn't the answer. Disappointed with the likes of Neil and Embleton just don't seem to have the desire to back up their undoubted skill.

Good game gents. We won it in the first half as you didn't seem to be at the races. Second half you were much better and could have pulled it back but overall I think we deserved the win. Best of luck for the season
Cheers mate. We didn’t get going until second half but maybe that was more you chaps starting well and full of confidence after a really good run of games. First half you were probably as good a team as we have played all season. We Got going a bit second half but we are very much a work in progress we have a load of young very talented young kids. Who are generally great to watch but with both our strikers out we are struggling a bit to create chances. With Stewart and Simms back and a few more games under our belt think we will do ok All the best for the rest of the season

Has there been any update on Simms? Last I read was it appeared to be a toe ligament and it was up to Everton what happened next?

Got to admit, I can't remember a player missing games because of a toe ligament

Went back to Everton for more scans last I heard It’s a strange one. Not sure they really know exactly what it is so probably difficult to treat
