Poor first half did for us. Bit of a worry about our form, and there can be no denying the lack of a striker is a massive issue. 2 or 3 players form is becoming worrying as well, these last couple of games.
Close game against a good footballing side - they had more shots on target but we turned it around and were more of a threat second half.
Disappointing but **** happens we were always going to have a few bad runs after getting promoted. Maybe try Amad and Bennette upfront together or Clarke.
Got what we deserved today. Poor performance, no creativity, completely over ran in midfield and the defence was all over the place. I'm ready to see us freshen up a bit. Cirkin back in is a must, I'd like to see Matete and Ba given an opportunity to start a game and start integrating Hume into the squad and that right back role more. I've seen enough of Amad already to be honest, I don't know what he offers or where he plays. We need to figure that out.
Not pissing the bed or anything but the lack of strikers is a genuine issue people can be concerned about. The club isn't above concerns and criticism. Anyone wishing to air thoes concerns should be able to air them. Club is in a fantastic place for establishment in the Championship. However going into a Championship season with 2 out and strikers on the books was a roll of the dice, a roll that isn't such and issue when theres regular goal scoring midfielders. We've been unlucky that both are out. Alas I'm not pissing the bed, just pointing out we've been here before with no strikers when Grabban and Vaughan left in the same window. All other aspects of the pitch are fine. Ofcourse just my opinion.
Slipping down the table - where is a win gonna come from so we don’t slip any further. Time for the manager to earn his wages. Bart
I wouldn't mind as much if we were playing like this with a fully fit team, but having no strikers is making this season very very frustrating. To lose both our target men to long term injuries, a game apart is just very very frustrating. I still can't get my head round Simms injury. His mental strength seems to be lacking imo. You could see that when he wanted to get off the pitch asap against Reading
Mowbray will want the Boro to finish above us and stop up, he changed that team when we on the up but rubbish first half cost us 37,000 average a joke for this lot, these owners are worse than Short and Murray and they can frig off next summer penny pinching again get out and find a striker for christ's sake or forever cop it.
I reckon this is more the case with his injury. Some players won't okay unless 100% but most players have little niggles most the time!
His xray came back all clear and he was meant to return after the international break. That tells it's own story imo
What a load of ****ing ****e. You don't half post some right nonsense mind! You come across as the type who loves a bad result so ya can have a good ****ing moan!
Aye mate, people were suggesting if we lost Stewart to Boro to get him in a swap deal. I think I've said on here before my opinion of him is he will be OK and score the odd few goals where he is a second but he will not handle being the first choice striker.
A loss is a loss is a loss as they say.. I suppose we could not go on for ever without playing a full deck.. What is Simms current injury status?
