It may be because they didn't have a replacement lined up. I wonder if they'll sack him now and go for Wilder.
Crazy times.
Well knows the time to do it given Boro have shown Wilder the door

They'll be trying to get managers on weekly contracts soon.https://www.skysports.com/football/...ready-after-just-11-games-of-2022-23-campaign
This is just our division!!
That's a 33% turnover in just 11 games... madness.
They'll be trying to get managers on weekly contracts soon.

I don't feel that is the case. The trend seems to be managers go where the best compensation packages are and then do their best to get sacked.
It doesn't really make me feel any better about it, but it seems we're no different to most.Under-fire Hasenhuttl a rare beast
Speculation about his future is rife at the moment, but it's worth noting Ralph Hasenhuttl is one of just 17 managers in the Premier League and EFL who has been in their current job for two years or more.
Only nine current managers - Simon Weaver, Gareth Ainsworth, John Coleman, Jurgen Klopp, Pep Guardiola, Mark Robins and Karl Robinson and Thomas Frank - have been in charge longer than him
Just saw this on Sky... Scary stats these!! How can any club expect to build a genuine philosophy with turnover like that?
He's almighty?I was expecting some news from WBA - how is Bruce still there?
Well that`s 4 managers at the top of the 4 divisions while 12 managed to get their clubs relegated. Managers find it easier to lose games than win them.I don't feel that is the case.
I'm sure there are exceptions that might fit your description, but managers, like the players most once were, are winners. They hate losing.
If you like losing, you dont get to the top of your profession, or indeed into the top 4 divisions of your profession.
Oh and if players and managers don`t like losing games there must be a lot of depressed managers and players around.
Mick McCarthyI can't believe you really think managers do their best to get sacked for the compensation package they'd get - that's ludicrous.

Ouch!Reports that Roy Keane's being lined up for Bruce's job.![]()
Ive no doubt its easier to lose games than win them.Well that`s 4 managers at the top of the 4 divisions while 12 managed to get their clubs relegated. Managers find it easier to lose games than win them.
