Ancient history says Huddersfield was a big team. They arent no longer. Never been in the prem while we spent 8 years. I would even put Hull marginally bigger then Huddersfield
I'm betting people claiming Udders are the bigger club due to long gone history would be all over any TWS fans doing the same...and rightly so. Was big? Erm great. Well done. Now, moving on, to the present, and reality. Udders are not a bigger club than Hull or Leicester and its just being WUMish or even childish to suggest otherwise. Unless you have some current, and relevant facts to share of course. Current league position? Current number of supporters per home/away game? Etc.
Yeah the last time they won anything worth noting was 1926 which was 85 years ago. That is miles too long ago, not many Huddersfield fans was alive when that happened. They have never got near the prem so its alright winning things along long long time ago but in my lifetime and yours put together they havent won anything. So sorry they arent a big club Both Leicester and Hull are bigger clubs then Huddersfield
There glory years were decades ago Yes. But in the 70's Huddersfield were an established First Division(PL now) club The likes of Frank Worthington - Trevor Cherry - Dick Kryzwhicki to name but three. Bill Shankly and Denis Law in the 60's were there. Over the past 30 odd years they have slipped down the pecking order and alot like Leeds Utd. Ok over the past 10 years or so they have slipped under Hull and Leicester,, but for the life span of the club they have been far bigger. Its not wum-ming just a simple fact of history. But as has been said we live in the now So Hull City are the bigger club and Potentially can get much bigger. end of.
Awesome, so they were bigger, donkeys years ago, like Leeds, but aren't now. At least you finally saw sense.
nothing to do with sense - simply history of huddersfield town. the point being that Lee Clark is better off where he is. i feel that leicester are now held in the same regard as blackburn rovers due to the owners. imo.
This is from Ian Stringer who works for BBC Radio Leicester and is usally bang on Expect lots of Pearson talk now - RT @talkSPORT: Lee Clarke to stay Huddersfield boss after ruling himself out of running for Leicester job
This is from Dave Burns who works for BBC Radio Humberside and gets everything wrong: "Nigel Pearson is currently at the KP Stadium having talks with Leicester's Thai owners"
I think Hinckley united and Nuneaton town are bigger than Leicester too I believe Coalville have played at wembley more recently than Leicester also
its getting very boring now. Foxy just accept that your next manager will be from the Pool of Jobless Managers. Maybe a few new names will come into the frame soon. Its fun watching from afar though.
