Add Malan, Willey, Ballance, Fisher, Coad too for various reasons. Having said that, a lot of these absences were predictable (and financed by ECB), so no excuse for not having strong replacements. Their recruitment of overseas players has been absolutely appalling. Maybe these are a direct result of having to cost save due to commercial withdrawals/ funding the compensation packages.There are probably a few reasons why Yorkshire haven't had a good season. I think generally there will still be a bit of aftermath of the racism saga still within the club. Losing for the most part Root, Bairstow and now Brooks must have an impact. I just feel there is not a cohesive feel about Yorkshire at present.
