Quite right too. Robins shouldn't be out under pressure given the cards he was dealt at the beginning of the season. And after last season, he shouldn't be allowed to go anywhere without a fight. That said and as I mentioned earlier, not many owners can be trusted to see the big picture.

He’s signed a new contract so hopefully he’ll get us past this difficult patch

I have to confess that at the moment, I hope Bristol City get promoted as the club has at least stood by their man.
Hey ho. What do I know.
They have been there or thereabouts a few times but one of the few clubs around this level never to make it to the PL.
I recall their First Division days in mid 70’s quite well, even went over to watch some games including one v Leeds which was called off at half time due to fog.
They had a few decent players - Gow, Cheesely, Merrick, Collier, Whitehead and then picked up old pros like Hunter, Cormack, Cooper but imploded in the 80’s.
I’d have no problem if they had their chance in the PL but can only see them going up via play offs.

It may be because they didn't have a replacement lined up. I wonder if they'll sack him now and go for Wilder.
Crazy times.
I really wouldn't bet against that.... I reckon we should set up a company that runs "speed dating events" for football clubs and out of work managers to attend.

30 minutes each, then "ding", move along, if anyone is interested in you you'll get an email by the end of the next day.

Ok, there'll be a significant risk of managers bumping into their "ex's" at each event, but you never know, it could even rekindle a lost relationship??

At the rate things are going, I think monthly events would be a suitable frequency....

What do we reckon?

We call the event agency company "You Go Boss"

For those who can't attend in person, we record each club and manager doing a spiel about themselves and what they are looking for.
We can then send these out for a premium. They'd just have to register for our "Gaffer Tapes" service....

Since you ask I'll tell you what I think.
I think that if you don't start writing your book soon, you'll be doing a disservice to humanity.

Excellent idea too <laugh>
Only one thing, could we have a "cling" instead of a "ding" when it's time to move on?
