Poland must be one of the most cynical teams I've ever seen.
Absolutely horrendous antics pretty much throughout.
Shame to head off to Qatar on a negative note but I've no doubts the players will put it behind them and do us proud in a couple of months time.

That's how I saw it too. That said, our final touch wasn't as good as it might have been.
Despite the disappointment, I think we can take solace in the fact that although we don't have a huge depth of individual talent, as a squad unit we can still give other nations a game.
I also think the squad has a flawless PMA and that they'll go to Qatar in good spirits

In particular a malaise at the stadium which now seems to affect Wales as well as Cardiff. Sh1t refs, we only get sh1t refs.!!!
This Latvian gentleman was one of the worst. Down there with the likes of Hooper, Stroud and Friend (sounds like a firm of undertakers). He was conned by the cheating Poles from the first few minutes. I think there must have been a sniper in the crowd with a silenced rifle. Every time we touched a Polish player they went down like JFK being driven past a grassy gnoll.
Our immaturity as a young team showed but credit to the youngsters for sticking at it and giving the Poles a really tough time in the last 20 minutes. Neco Williams and Brennan Johnson were outstanding. Dan James also started to torture their right back as the game went on.
Pity about the goal from their only real clear chance but we should learn from that.
On the positive side we have Mepham, Ampadu, Ben Davies, Aaron Ramsey, Harry Wilson and Joe Allen to return to bring strength and experience to the World Cup.
However the abiding memory is the shockingly awful refereeing display. On two occasions their "injured" players were treated on the field but not asked to leave the pitch before rejoining. Looks like the useless clown of a ref rewrote the rule book for the night!!!

That's exactly how it came across on TV.
I actually timed the stoppages in the first half at 6 minutes and 11 in the second half. What was added on was 3 and 5 respectively.
I don't think the ref was biased but just unbelievably gullible.
As Brizzle said, real cynicism from the Poles.
Proud of our effort though.
I'm going with gullible because he must travel around a bit.

I just don’t get why in football they do not stop the clock for treating injuries. it’s not difficult.
That's the problem though - the only clock that matters seems to be on the ref's wrist.
Anyway, who actually calculates the time to be added after the 90?

Down to the ref. Why not the 4th official who is not so heavily involved other than keeping a lid on the managers. Not always easy, e.g. Tuchel versus Conte.
Would not be a great leap of faith to give someone off the pitch jurisdiction and either take it out of the ref's hands or at least have a line of communication. Which for last night would involve the off field person telling the ref to feck off.

So I presume it's soley at the discretion of the ref and he tells the 4th official what to put up on the board?
Apparently Rule 7 from the FA says exactly that. The ref can then increase the time but not reduce it.
I assume FIFA is the same.
As soon as the ref blows his whistle to stop play for the trainer to come on the 4th official stops his clock and then re starts it once he blows his whistle to resume play.
The 4th official is supposed to add 30 secs per substitution and for a goal but the latter should really be 60 seconds. Then he gets told how much to add on for time wasting etc by the on field ref.
It surely should not be beyond the wit of the FA/EFL.
