I DO think he's only going to be a white ball cricketer from now on. There seems little point in trying to get him to bowl 20 overs a day for 25 days a summer
Aye, test matches are a different game. If he can perform like today in T20 then stick to that. Can't see him doing what Jimmy or Broad has done. Their test match numbers are crazy.
Not many fast fast bowlers play a lot of test matches (am saying that without any proof or stats to back it up).
What's happened to Jofra Archer? He looked class but then got an injury ages ago and never seen him since.
He'll be another one who plays white ball only. He seems too fragile (or unlucky) to play red ball cricket. On the face of it, if these lads can earn £2m per year, playing a format where you bowl 24 balls per game then why would you flog yourself to death at test level?
Knackered since then mate, shame but skill, pace and resilience needed and vast majority only have two of them. Looks like we can add Jofra to the very long list sadly. Two out of three ain't bad, as a famous philosopher once said, but it doesn't make for test cricket legend status
Not sure mate, know his elbow has been done in for ages, came back and then done again. You'd think some tubigrips and a bag of tramadol would sort it for 3 or 4 overs every now and again but who knows! Sure he'll have a good career and be in demand throughout just won't play that much cricket by the end unfortunately.
Just had a google and archer has a stress fracture in his back and is out for the season. Also he's now 27. Could still be a T20 legend but shame to see he can't bowl a lot. He's part of English cricket history whatever happens
