I hope it's not Parker. If people think Morison has an arrogance bordering on contempt then just wait to hear Parker in action with his excuses....
I don't think Parker is arrogant at all. In the media interviews I've seen with him. he's pretty focused on the games before and after. I quite like him apart from his choice of clothes.
It just goes to show how differently we perceive things. We've not been agreeing on much today Sparkey but it shows we're Bluebirds through and through.
I'll be intermittent from hereon today too. Mrs Brizzle has decided we need to go on a mad pilgrimage to London to camp out overnight on the Mall so we can watch the funeral procession tomorrow. Fold out chair, sleeping bag and Greggs sausage rolls packed, currently on the train heading towards Reading. I'm wearing a Cardiff leisure shirt of course. Just have to wait and see what we end up with now. Whoever it is we'll get behind as usual (though clearly nowadays only for a short time unless things are going exceptionally well)
The circle we need to square is the football experience we have at the club. I know its been said that 10 years have given our board a deal of experience, but the fact they left such a gap between the playing style of the 1st team and the accademy, and the chopping and changing of managers and styles suggests otherwise. SM joined the dots and we mustn't lose that. Been watching Football Dreams: The Academy, a documentary at Palace. Quite an insight to the ruthless business of developing players. Whatever you think of Steve Parish, and his various comments on clubs, managers and owners, he's a football man. We've argued previously about the merits of a DoF, but we need someone to set direction and provide structure within the club. That role would have helped SM. If we dont fix that bit, the careering from manager to manager and style to style will continue.
What we need is players who can play football, they get paid enough to put in a good shift. All I`m asking is pass the ball to a player in space and move it forward, and in defense block shots or head away balls into the box. All a manager has to do is make sure the players are in the right frame of mind to go out and win the game. The best chance of losing the ball is across field and back passes in your own half, if you lose it in their half at least you have a chance to recover as long as you make the effort to run and win the ball back. To come out of an academy and into the championship is limited otherwise we may as well play 11 academy players and leave league one and two players nowhere to go. Footballers are a very select group who are very well paid so it is naturally hard to break into that circle or we would all do it.
Amazed about this sacking after such hard work, he must be feeling a tit now, stubbornness costs so many their jobs. Dave Jones was stubborn and arrogant about fans expectations....but the best guy considering his lack of budget! Clingon out! MASKY OF LLANDAFF
Since Jimmy Scoular was sacked it’s been by and large disaster after disaster. Frank O’ Farrell I ask you For every Eddie May or Lenny lawrence or Len Ashurst or Malky Mackay there’s a Russell Slade or Mick McCarthy or OGS or Paul Trollop. If only Richie Morgan was still around - still to this day my favourite City manager.
