Cardiff City sack manager Steve Morison. Cardiff City Football Club can confirm that First Team Manager Steve Morison has been relieved of his duties. We’d like to thank Steve for his efforts during his time at Cardiff City, stabilising the first team last season and helping to evolve our squad in line with the club’s philosophy this summer. We wish him the best for the future. Mark Hudson will oversee first team affairs at this time, assisted by Tom Ramasut, whilst the Club considers options for the position.
In hindsight it may be but they’re mid table and have had a complete squad make over so it has to be something behind the scenes OR they have a replacement in place . You have to question why they gave McCarthy such a long time after the total capitulation against WBA (5 central defenders remember) but ditched Morison after one bad performance
Exactly! 3 wins in 10 games. First half against Middlesbrough and then 2nd half and yesterdays performance then add to that the 3 losses 0-2 which were dire. How can this team play the best football we have seen and then appear to be totally lacking any desire to come out with no urgency at all. Remember he took Watters off because he wasn`t doing what he was told and Davies because he was more a hindrance than a help so he was responsible for how the players were told to play.
Perhaps not one bad performance but several away from home. Also we have seen his outspoken media reactions, perhaps he us the same with the board and other club staff. Nevertheless I am surprised how quickly this has happened. I thought Huddersfield were a bit quick off the mark last week
Absolutely ridiculous, ludicrous, knee jerk decision. 10 games in, 4 points off the playoffs, building a whole new ethos/style and yet here we go again. Who the feck can we get to come in and continue the rebuild? This could actually see us relegated now if whoever else comes in wants to change style and personnel again. Really annoyed at the clubs short termist approach. Absolute Fugging joke.
I don't think he was any different to those in authority at the club, his players, coaches and the media - no humility. Nothing personal about this, but I never liked him......
Disagree Brizzo - had to be done. It all depends on the new guy and his staff now - no faffing about.
