Very pleased with a point, onto the next one
Said a few weeks ago on the transfer thread I’d like see Alese starting. Obviously playing with 3 at the back would mean LCB though - Cirkin has been absolutely outstanding but I think Alese has a lot to offer and having a 6’4 centre back on the pitch who’s rapid is a no brainer. Cirkin as a wing back with Alese as the centre back would be a great option if Clarke wasn’t fit.
I think if I was to pick our strongest team when all players are fit, and this would be a very difficult pick by the way because there’s numerous players who don’t deserve to be left out; Dan Neil as much as I think he’s not done anything special in the last 18 months has been very good the last few games. Bennette looks quality but I haven’t seen enough of him. Michut will be incredible, we’ll be a stepping stone for him IMO but we haven’t seen him play yet so I didn’t put him in. Danny Bathh has been solid but this team is based on us moving forward as a club and I think the 2 younger options will prevail.
Patterson
Gooch Ballard Alese Cirkin
Diallo Evans Ba Pritchard Clarke
Stewart
Bennette spoke to Oviedo before signing for us, apparently it was one of the reasons he signedThey are both in the the Costa Rican squad next week![]()
I honestly think every person on here would pick a different team. The nucleus is there for a cracking 1st 11 but the bench is going to be automatic starters in most other championship teams.
You don’t get to be happy with the team, prick5th in the table cannot work that out but 5th ! i will take that for 2 weeks.
Think Ba is away with the french youthHow many we got away on international duty? Just Jewi and Evans?

?I don't think we're in a position where we have a strongest 11 yet, it'll very much be horses for courses.
Bathh is the 2nd name on the team sheet after Stewart so far. I agree with your thinking, and I think we've got a back 4 in the squad who can be our back 4 for a decade in Hume, Ballard, Alese and Cirkin. But right now, Batth is the calming influence that gets us through games. He's the experience telling all the young lads how to play and where to be positioned. They'll be better players by playing with him.
I'd bring on Matete for Neil. He's not competing enough in the middle, we need some added bite.
100%. Bathh has been quality and his organisation in that back 3 is paramount. I was just thinking along the lines of moving forward as a club over the next few years - going into next season Bathh will be 33 so naturally he’ll start slowing and if we were to go with a flat 4 I think we’d go with the younger lads. If we continue with a 3 there’s no reason he won’t be in the middle.
