Apparently the handball second half was even more blatant to lads who were there. Conspiracy i tells ya
Having watched the game and replays and other angles, how we didn’t get at least one penalty at the weekend is beyond me
I agree Marcus, especially the push on Clarke. I hope you realise that the post you replied to was my attempt at a humorous response to Smug's previous post. My kid's always tell me jokes are ****e if you need to explain them
I was gonna call everyone a bell-end, say how ****e we are, blame Gooch for the traffic jam into work this morning, and type words in dialect "anarl", just to add to the rtg vibe. And....if anyone reports me, I will say I'm a mag, so you should cop the warning, not me. Just waiting for a clique to arrive to back me up now.
Saw Jack Diamond's Lincoln hat trick earlier, he looked class. Watched the whole show and there was nobody stood out like he did. I know we're well stocked for wingers but I think he'd love it and do well in the setup we've got now. He gets a canny few goals for a winger, 1 in 3 more or less. Usually when we send someone out on loan I think that's the last we'll see of them but maybe not him.
I do rate the lad, my only question mark is ‘is he better than what we have now?’ A decent player. Hope he gets the game time he deserves and smashes up league one. He’s only 22. Some people talk about him like he’s a has been already.
Couldn't we play him as a two upfront with LND. We've plenty of pace out wide now and he would bring that pace centrally, after all he's our player and not a loan signing, I'm in the school of bringing our own on and not nursing talent from bigger clubs. Would he be any worse than Ellis Simms? That's not knocking the lad and with LND injured we will probably bring Ellis straight back for the Preston game. Would love to see Diamond succeed here.
Loads of lads started as wide men and ended up through the middle. No reason he cant do that. Or he is perfect in a 3 like most teams prefer. There is a player there for sure.
I have questioned Jacks attitude at times, being at a loss to understand why it had gone wrong for him here, especially pre season, despite how hard he tried and in whatever lousy role he was handed by AN, but watching him I realised I was quite wrong. He gave his all in some dreadful team performances, no doubt engineered by back room problems which as we now know eventually surfaced. No doubt in my mind he has outstanding ability, and would fit in well under AAM given a fair chance but whether he gets it remains to be seen. We live in hope.
