They're night and day better. You can tell just by watching them. The problem we have right now is poor results and poor performances, in my opinion due to shocking tactics. If anything, the players letting us down the most are generally the players we've retained. I'm hoping that changes with some more positive tactics and allows all of them to be more cohesive together.

I think the only new signing anyone could judge poorly at the moment is Figs, but I don't think he ever intended to come here and play the ball out from the back in this way. To say the 'marquee' signings we've brought in are worse than what we had before is well wide of the mark. Especially with 5 yet to make an appearance as well.
I understand we have injuries but who are the five and where do they. Fit in?

if we agree that tetteh and Oscar are two up front
Pelkas one side Sinik the other?
Tufan has to play? Seri has to play?

you need a back four obviously

I just don’t see how the team gels
Is traore a defiensive midfielder

I have no idea of these players best positions

Pelkas looks a good player on the brief bits I’ve seen but I don’t know where he fits in a formation

in fact I don’t know where a lot do

We've brought in enough for cover in attack, for sure. It's good to have options. If we had no injuries it'd be fascinating to see who would be playing where.

For me, if a 4 at the back is determined, then the team could have any of these combinations...

GK = Ingram/Baxter/Lo Tutala
RB = Coyle/Christie
CBx2 = Figs/Greaves/Mac/Jones/Simons
LB = Fleming/Elder

DM = Seri/Jones/Woods/Simons
CM = Tufan/Slater/Woods/Traore/Doc
CM Attack = Pelkas/Salah/Vale/Tufan

RW = Pelkas/Vale/Allahyar/Williams/Salah
LW = Sinik/Longman/Tetteh/Salah/Vale
ST = Oscar/Tetteh/Allahyar/Smith/Longman

We have players for positions even now, and there'll be a few I've forgotten there inevitably. Whether they 'fit in' or not we won't know until we see them tried and tested there.

jury still out for me on Shota , one thing i am sure of though is i don't think Acun will mess about if the time comes.
I've read a lot on different sites and had conversations with people about what good mates they are and stuff and how he wont sack him.
but i don't think Acun has come in and done everything he has done to not be where he wants us to be and if the time comes where he thinks its not working , i reckon he will be ruthless.

Well thanks for naming all the players but it’s where they fit in
And I don’t see how they do

I agree with this, friends or not, if things aren't working I don't think Acun will have any qualms about replacing him. I also don't think it will be much longer if there's no change in performances, the issues are the same game after game, either he finds a way to change that, or he'll be gone.

As supporters we have the right to question Shota.
Would I get rid even if we got hammered tomorrow?
No I wouldn’t.
Looks like he’s asking himself the same questions we are, which is a good sign as he admitted that he made selection mistakes against Stoke.
Expecting a much improved performance tomorrow.

We’ve been sussed in midfield and out wide hence the lack of possession and defensive pressure.

Possession creates opportunities and reduces your opponents ability to score.

Give it while December then step in if need be.

Allam’s GONE.

I thought we got softer and looser from the West Brom game onwards. The two goals and some people's belief that West Brom were decent seemed to mask that performance for some. That's still West Brom's only league win. Certainly injuries didn't help, such as losing Allahyar Sayyadmanesh and then Tufan. We beat Coventry but they were still close to getting a draw and they are not having a good season.

We need to keep some kind of defensive shape without the ball. Whatever players you have that should be something that is within reach for a competent team that is coached well.

It's not looking very ****ing good is it? Almost like formation, players etc is irrelevant. You hit a run like this and the manager will always get the flack.

Why match after match do we let the opposition play 5 a side through us on the box edge , it’s like crowd the box and they won’t score - but they do look at the goals !!

im all for giving a manager time but even with the injuries , shota has had enough time. I havnt seen any reaction to games that have started to go pear shape , not expecting to pull them round to wins but we are a disorganised rabble of disperate talents-for me its time to walk. Dyche is worth sounding out at the very least and I am sure Acun is putting feelers out in preparation.

The boys are very down, we've had a bad run. Me, them, we're not in form and it's always good to have a day or two to come back and then speak.

"Yes, sure, of course," he then responded about being under pressure.

"I will talk to myself because everybody had to be on this level and in form.

"It's not about who has time, it's about what we can change. Whatever is going to be discussed is what will be best for the club. I won't talk much in the meeting, I will listen."

(from BBC)
Hull head coach Shota Arveladze:

"The boys are very, very down. We are on a bad run and we aren't in form. We need a good day to come back.

"I feel under pressure. It is about what we can change. Whatever course is taken it is going to be what is best for the club that matters.

"It was a difficult game. We expected the game to go that way because Swansea keep the ball so well. We tried to block the lines, but they beat us well and created a lot of chances.

"They are a good side and a better side than us on the day, although we had some good moments in the game."

People will be losing faith in Acun if he goes to Turkey to look for a manager.
It’s time he stepped up, came out, admit he made a mistake & get in a manager.
