Anyway ... I'm off to watch The Vigil on Sky for a bit ... please leave off sucking all the lemons, coz I may want a slice with my G&T later ... Beefeater Gin obviously <cheers>

Limes are better for G+T. <ok>. But I'll drink one with you from the other side of the Atlantic tonight, sounds a good drink. Not beefeater though. Bombay Sapphire better.

I'm not very good at this, but will give it a go...

I wouldn't see myself as religious person, even though I was brought up CofE from a very young age, hence why I probably don't dismiss religion, for me it's about respect for the many different religions and finding where I fit in within them, I still don't know the answer at my age!

Maybe there is a God, whatever that maybe, but I've got about as much chance of proving that, as I have as what's at the end of the observable universe, something that I am interested in. But i'd hate to think, life didn't have a purpose.

Something I see that religion does do from a postive aspect, it creates a structure to people's lives, that moral compass. People complain about royalty, people complain about politicians, people complain about religion, people will complain about everything, but they are all building blocks of every day life, take them away and you have bedlam.

If people want to mourn the Queen let them, for those that don't, have some respect and just shut the fook up complaining, for once in your life.

Ooops nearly forgot...

AMEN

It doesnt offend me if you mourn the queens death or pretend to.

So me or anyone doing the opposite shouldn't offend the other side.

Or are the other side somehow different or better? Or too woke or snowflakey? Or like the monarchy and its powerful friends think they are above "standing in a queue". <laugh>

You’re problem is you want to eat the cake brh

it’s not coz we offended it’s coz it’s fun seeing the reactions of the ‘we’re not bothered about the monarchy but we’re bothered about the monarchy’ crew

<laugh>

Here we go

the ‘we don’t believe in God but we don’t like him’ brigade are here
But Can you dislike someone you dont believe exists?

I've been told by more than one person "Atheists aren't real, they're just people who hate God so pretend he doesn't exist" (which sounds a lot like some of the royalist arguments on here).

I've no problem with religion when people don't try to force it upon me or don't use it to do messed up things. My own view of religion is that it's neither good nor bad, people twist religion to do bad things in the name of religion (but plenty of people also use religion to do good things. Religious people donate more to charity than atheists... But they're also more likely to go to jail).

It's not for me. My wife was very religious when we met (she isn't anymore, she lost he faith by working for a church), our differences in belief didn't bother either of us 99% of the time.

Mate you been out with your bum mates for about 3 nights, holding weed driven gay sex parties. Just because you can afford to spend £3K on a bike to pop off to remote places to engage in this sort of stuff, you should still remember, that land of leaves, frogs, mud and wet patches you were rolling in with the lads is probably owned by the King!
