Queue is now 24 hours and still they keep coming ...

Can only speak for myself ... but my work role is an International one covering countries throughout the world that we have outlets or customers in ... and just about every one since the Queen died gives her a mention ... none yet have been negative ... go figure eh? ...you have to come on here for crying and toys beong thrown out of prams <laugh>

They're talking to a sobbing old Englishman whose heart is broken by the death of his former mistress, of course they're not going to be negative about her to your face.

They’re hardly going to slag her off on your Zoom call.

My coworkers (Cantonese, Indian, Brazilian, and American) do freely, but they know I don't like the royal family. I'm sure they wouldn't if I was a monarchist.

Mostly e-mails ... where they don't have to say anything ... yet they do ... go figure eh? ... but given that you've spoken with most of them and know what they really think <laugh>

It doesnt mean anything. When people hear my accent and ask where I'm from in stores they've all asked if I've heard about the Queen, and sorry to hear about it and ask my opinion.

I tell them the truth, "I'm not really that bothered, I don't like the monarchy think it needs to be abolished, fairly neutral towards the Queen, can't stand Charles though."

They're being polite, but once they hear I'm not a monarchist most relax and make some comment like "yeah, it is a bit odd you still have a monarch in the 21st century". Most people here do have favourable views of Lizzie, she was liked but no one likes Charles. No one! Americans adore Diana (they're obsessed with pretty people) and they still blame Charles for what happened. He's very much seen as the pantomime villain.

It’s not bitter to think fewer people will watch something than have access to a television in the entire world, you dozy old twonk.

You, like a few others on here are in denial ... if you can't admit that what is unfolding before your eyes - mourning, respect, grief and also fondness on a scale like nothing seen in anybody living's lifetime, - then it says more about you than I ever could ... or would be bothered to. No offence <laugh>
