Not really mate, I lost my mum 2 months ago and her funeral was a very special occasion, bringing together family and friends I hadn't seen in years, to all pay our last respects and to celebrate her life.
It was very emotional, but also a lovely day to see everyone again.
I kind of get what you're saying, but it's over simplistic. Most people want to say farewell - and funerals are an important part of that process.
I agree that all the public stuff can sometimes be overdone, but equally there are those who will want to respect our queen of the last 70 years.
