if her head is still intact, we will be fine!
Too soon?!!
Anyway Bournemouth home, Bruno and ASM back. That’s got to be our chance to dominate and set up the season after a solid yet unspectacular start.

I agree. We have built a great base and whilst some of the results haven't been what we had hoped, the performances have been very good (Brighton apart). We might go on a very good run now and move up the league. We need to set ourselves up for a productive January
Once spaghetti legged Wilson comes back, I do wonder how we would line up. I would, personally, be comfortable with him taking a back up role.Exactly this. More time for Bruno, ASM and Isak to get to know each other. Literally cannot wait to see those three on a field together and given time. Then imagine we sort that right side out as well in Jan, as we said in the Summer we're only two players shy of a team that can challenge for top 6. But we need to work on the continent, fishing in England is ****ing pointless unless we're going to just let the purse strings loose.
Look at Spurs and City. That striker City picked up (not Haaland) looks absolute mustard. Spurs got Udogie who looks mint. Both cost under £15m. This is why I think our scouting is such dogshit - those clubs are picking up the 'right' characters, who also have tonnes of talent, for peanuts. Chasing Maddison, Diaby, Harrison is so pointless - those players aren't getting any better, they've peaked. We need players to come in and change the game for us. Some really exciting striker went to Atalanta for £15m, Hojlund. Look at the kid who went to Dortmund, Adeyemi.
Can't wait for us to start finding these kids instead of what is arguably the weakest scouting department in the PL.

I think we will end up targeting players like Adeyemi etc. I was excited when we were linked with Sesko as I thought he would have been dynamite (and not thinking a player like Isak would be available to us!) Signing players like Botman, Bruno and Isak tell me this is our blueprint.
A spine of Pope, Botman, Bruno and Isak is very exciting. Alongside the creativity of ASM and the brutishness of big Joe, we have the makings of a quality first team. My main concern is our back up. Sadly this will take time but we will get there. We will be unrecognisable in a couple of years if we can have more windows like the last two
Not sure he's disciplined enough to protect the CBs to be honest. Really, I think we need to find a top knacker CDM and then have Bruno and Joe. Quality RAM (perhaps Maddison could be that as stats suggest he occupies that sort of space, tucked in, but Trippier overlaps) and then Isak up top.Question on big Joe - would we be better off playing perhaps him in DM, to shift Bruno to RCM and then Anderson as LCM?

It'll never happen... (reverse psych)... Done. Thank me in January.Sounds like a plan. I was excited by Alvarez, thought that’s what we needed and what you say makes sense. Make it happen.

Watched him the other night v rangers and he was very good. You're spot on, though. I did think it a bit towards the end of the window (Chaos might be able to provide screenshots if he's bored out of his tiny mind).
I mean, look at Man City. Most important player for them - Rodri, without a doubt. Haaland/KDB get all the headlines and are clearly world class, but it all happens because of Rodri and - before him - Fernandinho. It's a bit why L'pool & Chelsea have been **** this season - Fabinho well off the pace, Henderson not fit, Kante out for the dodgy blues.
It's a good spot from Ten Haag as well with Casemiro - once Man U move to a similar 4-3-3 they may go somewhere. Brighton - no coincidence one of the best players so far has been Caicedo.
We're definitely missing it. I know Pouchy has been crying out for it for years. Bruno's awesome, but he's being wasted in that position and leaving us exposed when he's creating chances. Might have been Antony's move that scuppered our shot at Alvarez, but Ajax are terminally a selling club so we'll see what Jan brings. I can see the links to that Brazil lad making sense. But it's definitely a key position to fill. CDM, RW in Jan and we're good.

Let’s just hope Saudi isn’t implicated in her death….![]()
Its unusual to have a funeral on a Sunday. The funeral is provisionally set for Sunday 18th so no games next weekend or maybe just the Sunday,no day off though.

Or the golf and racing back tomorrow, should have played this weekend and postpone next weekThey'll probably cancel next week's football too.. I notice the bloody cricket wasn't stopped.
I'm more worried about Albert being involved. What did he know when he picked the thread title and didn't mention the opposition??

hedging my Bets.
