To have that much possession and not create a real chance in that second half was disappointing. We just looked a wee bit leggy. The movement wasn't great and I suspect Stewart does so much work he is very hard to replace.
His movement and Al round game is brilliant but on another night our passing wouldn’t be as white

I did think Simms did okay, but he had very little support and very little service.
Simms is a clever forward with a decent first touch, needs work as they all do and someone to make the most of the space he creates with his movement

Thanks for the update lads. We haven't been up for a Boro game for years and that seems to have continued. Personally I think losing one player before a game and going to total **** is worrying. Say he gets an injury and he's out till Christmas, what, we just write the season off? Hopefully Mowbray can get them onto the training pitch and get some sort of plan B in place incase such a thing were to happen again.

We go up and bank £200million plus though and come down, how far does that accelerate the progress?

I wouldn’t ever turn down the PL, even if I agree I want us to be ready and prepared when we get there.

Banking £200 million isn't a bad argument but we have young players and going up too early and coming up against teams like Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and so on and not just getting beat but getting hammered could seriously go against them. Let's feel our way in the championship for a season or 3 then see where we are. I would rather walk before we can run

He probably did but weee probably comparing him to lock ness drongre when he plays in his own and es quality whatever the formatting

I see Jack Grealish' grandad was the ref again tonight. Same one that bottled several issues against QPR, namely broken bones and choke holds. Not his fault we couldn't hit a barn door tonight, but I think we're gonna have problems with him this season. Our new Kevin Friend.

And just to chuck some more cold water on tonight, I had a chat with an agent from Liverpool he claims Ross has been tapped for Xmas window by Everton.
Now it's not a fact, but he is a decent scouser, and has no need to talk crap.
I don't want Rose here. Total non-starter for me

Shoulda been a free kick dust half though on the edge or the bos

Thought he was alright tonight, not perfect but even handed at least. Hard to take him seriously with that hair

If Dennis and Ross are knackered, I think we need to go into the free agent market. We have no depth so we need to act. For me, and I'll probably get **** from some, our left back is out, Danny Rose for me. As for a forward, who knows.
Rose was hated at Newcastle. Sadly it was that way before he got there due to his allegiance with ourselves and they never took to him. I always thought he was a player who feeds off the crowd at SAFC. I’m not sure what physical shape he’s in but he’s surely good enough for this level

Mowbray was **** tonight. Those subs were a joke. Hope this is a one off

He was utter ****. Far too interested in how he looked on TV than getting decisions right. Twice we've had him this season and twice he's been ****
