I’d prefer to go under the radar personally, as for top manager award, let’s not hope it’s the kiss of death.
Things are improving that's for sure. I really like what we look like when we attack now, but we still look fragile at the back - particularly late on in games. Nige needs to sort that out as a priority.
As for Top Boss - I'll reserve judgement for now. Lets not get carried away - yes the signs are really good and there is a positivity around which we haven't seen for years.
We'll see at the end of the season though. There's still time for the wheels to fall off - remember we had a few decent starts to various seasons under LJ - and an amazing cup run - but it all fizzled out. We are Bristol City after all, so I've learned not to get too excited.
In the meantime I'm considering venturing down to the Gate with Mrs R&W for the QPR game on 1st October - it will be my first attendance since the Fulham game - last one before the COVID lockdown.
Any news on when that might be?Kalas to come back in when fit.
I’d just prefer other teams to underestimate us,Nige has his feet firmly planted on the ground he certainly not getting carried away-he tore into the boys at Blackburn like a lion just before we scored.
I’d just prefer other teams to underestimate us,
Rightly - we’re doing well at the moment.Rightly or Wrongly no getting away from it Nige and his team are getting rave reviews from football pundits.
I have always said the man was the right choice but it woud take time for him to weed out the decay and get his stamp on the football team.
Leicester fans said give him the time and he will sort your club out-the shoots are beginning to show.
Is LJ your love child ?Rightly - we’re doing well at the moment.
LJ too got rave reviews for a while

I think he's just giving him credit that the haters with their red misted glasses refuse to acknowledgeIs LJ your love child ?![]()
It’s too early in the season to make a judgement but signs are definitely a lot better than they have been for a while. We are certainly playing as a team now and all pulling together, if we can keep that going it augers well for the future.,The way I see it, is we have more attacking options with Conway in the picture, Wells having some form and Semenyo back from injury which has made the difference.
Our frailties remain at the back, we still concede late goals which doesn't seem to be addressed and we still have a habit of trying to sit back allowing opposition to get a foot hold.
We are playing good football, partly with our attacking options, quick starts and the growing confidence in the players..
NP's tactics are still questionable imo although I know ole RR likes and is easily carried away with anything he does, but again imo, it's early days in the season, couple of defeats and how we react will show me how far we can go..
There's been plenty of spells in previous games that I thought we looked really good, but they were short ones... now those spells are longer and we are seeing better results....As I and many have said, we need to sort out the late goals and concentration levels....I'm enjoying it, but have me feet firmly on the ground..

I'm with you on that sentiment realred but I was impressed when Nigel was hired and despite many bumps along the road I believe we are now seeing what an experienced manager with pedigree has brought to Ashton Gate. Far too many years have passed with promises of all kinds made along the way and when you throw in the multitude of players coming and going I was fearful for our future at the hands of amateurs. Whether we can maintain this rich vein of success remains to be seen but I really do see the seeds that rarely looked like bearing fruit finally coming to life. Many younger players are now firmly in the mix and to top it all we are still waiting for the full return of experienced players to add to our threat going forward. Nakhi Wells has been an eye opener as I never expected him to meet the standard required by a manager of Nigel's stature but meet it he has with great aplomb. If I have one issue it is firmly us being unable to ride out the last 10 minutes, particularly when we are ahead, and it's time to defend higher up the pitch and put some markers on the seats in Row Z so they know where to hoof the ball.![]()
As much as I enjoy mocking RR, I can confirm that he wanted Nige well before LJ had the job.
