For me, Field is actually the weaker player lately. He's not really adding anything apart from pressure and the occasional tackle.

Didn't see the game and apparently it was his mistake which led to the goal.
However, against Hull, apart from one brain fart, he was superb.
Trouble is, he wasn't superb in an obvious, Chair and Willock kind of way.
He does so much unnoticed "dirty" work in front of the back four.

Sounds like Tim is the player we hoped was as advertised.
By all accounts he's a very good young player.

When teams get behind the ball like they did we struggle to create alot of chances. This is when you need a poacher in your team to get on tge end of the chances we do make. If we had one today we'd have got a point but no kne gambled on the chance the ball might go where a decent striker would be. We'll struggle all season again to beat teams that play like that without a proper striker. Old mistakes and lessons not learnt. Same old unfortunately

This was the pivotal moment of the match - it happened right in front of us - Cabango weakly headed the ball back to Benda, Willock pounced and was pulled back by Cabango.

In all honesty, I think the foul was outside the box - but it denied a clear goal scoring opportunity and should have been a red card for Cabango.

How the Lino didn’t see it I don’t know as he had a clear line of sight…..

I doubt we’d have won with having to play for 89 minutes with 10 men <cheers>

Been out all day a-wooing so didn’t follow the game.

Isn’t that such a “QPR result” after the promise of the last two matches?

Currently on the coach back to England. Not seen a replay but I immediately thought it was a penalty to Swansea and couldn’t understand the argument. Great save though, then in true QPR fashion a horrible field blunder.
Overall I thought we we got all that we deserved, we never looked like scoring and gifted Swansea.
I have now been to every ground in the championship so we need to either go up or down this season

Mostly agree with you, but neither of them have really contributed much. Mick will decide!

Beale very honest in his post match interview, saying that maybe he should have freshened the side up a bit but not easy on the back of two wins. Also said he maybe should have made changes earlier.
Interestingly, he also said that the high line isn't how things should be.
That's down to him now to sort that out.

    On we go.

Without wishing to sound too much like a conspiracist....coincidental that the refereeing performance today came at the end of the week when our manager bemoaned "when is the Championship going to get VAR". He also said the officials were "only human", definitely wrong there Mick.

Hate to say it, but if Willock had gone to ground in first minute the ref would have been forced to make a decision, instead by staying on his feet and appealing for the decision the ref simply ignored it, off course no guarantee that the same outcome wouldn't have been reached.......... sometimes by being honest you don't get the decision.........

    Thoughts?

Having seen that, if ref had given a red, I think would have been overturned. Soft.

To be given a free kick would have been nice........ besides we don't have VAR so if red card, no comeback.......

As I mentioned above, the Linesman in front of us had a clear view.

Additionally, from our angle - and in the flesh so to speak - a definite denial of a goal scoring opportunity.
