While it's true that the object of the game is to get the ball in the oppositions net, there are also skills involved in defending. There are times, rare I admit, that a 0-0 game can be absorbing and entertaining, (for me). Our 'Player of The Century', voted for by The Fans, was a Centre Half, while the most entertaining of forwards came second and a very effective local born forward was third. However, were I a Preston Fan who had watched ALL their games, even I would have had more than enough of it with only two goals in over 630 minutes of play.
