Saturday 3rd September
Premier League
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

No injury news yet and neither side has any suspensions.

Lineups for each side's last league game:

Spurs: Lloris; Sanchez, Dier, Davies; Royal, Bissouma, Hojbjerg, Perisic; Kulusevski, Kane, Son.
Subs: Forster, Doherty, Spence, Lenglet, Tanganga, Sessegnon, Skipp, Sarr, Richarlison.

Fulham: Leno; Tete, Adarabioyo, Ream, Robinson; Reed, Palhinha; Reid, Pereira, Kebano; Mitrovic.
Subs: Rodak, Mbabu, Diop, Chalobah, Cairney, Harris, Francois, Stansfield, Ablade.

Ref: Stuart Atwell. 3rd match in a row, the other two being on VAR. VAR: Andre Marriner, the Spam ref.

TV: Not televised.

How would you like to line up for this one?

Probably too soon for Skipp but I do think we need to start rotating in a serious fashion. I'd like to see:

Hugo
Romero/Sanchez Dier Lenglet
Spence Bissouma Bentancur Perisic
Kulu Kane Richarliwum

Subs: Forster, Romero/Sanchez, Royal, Sess, Skipp, Hojbjerg, Gil, Lucas, Son.

That’s what I’d go with too, albeit I think Doherty and Sess will start over Spence and Perisic.

This guy, lol

“All ready for Saturday” is the caption.

He's going to be a star for us, a player to rally the fans and get us at it. He'll be our 2015 - 17 Dele Alli replacement, something that Moussa Sissoko took on in 2018 and we've not really had since, a little bit of nastiness and personality...and we've missed it.

A couple of goals and his own song and we've got ourselves a cult hero. He's a decent footballer, too.

He’s already got a song, to the tune of Do Wah Diddy:

Tottenham’s new Brazilian wearing white and blue,

He looks good (He looks good)

He looks fine (He looks fine)

Richarlison is on my mind

and he’s Tottenham’s number 9

Good tune for a song. Does it show that I don't have the sound/commentary on when I watch the game? <laugh>

Wednesday will see my return to the stadium for the first time since Covid and completely losing my **** with the appointment of Nuno. I wonder what else will have changed?

I have tickets for Wednesday too, my first game since Leipzig which was our last home ECL game!

Good news, mate, that you're feeling well enough. It is time to return...

I've wanted to go back since Conte was appointed...but I wanted to see him backed properly in the summer window, too. I feel that happened, so it's time to go back home...

P.s. not sporting the pink/green mohican at the moment, so I'm just a tall bloke with short grey/white hair again...for now.

Am I correct in saying that Gil and Sarr can not be
loaned out until the next transfer window, or is it
just to English league clubs ??

That is :

1. 7 of the outfield 10 I proposed as the starting XI for the Forest game
(a promotion peer of Fullham)

2. a change of 5 from the starting XI in the last game

Does not look very Conte to me. :)

He's going to need to start rotating 4-5 players per game on a pretty regular basis, unless he intends for some of our players to potentially hit a 70 game season (including the WC).

We play on average every 3.5 days between tomorrow and the Sept international break, then the same again all the way through until the WC commences in November.

Citeh will be strongest possible starting XI.
Fulham + Lesta *could* be done with much lesser starting XIs.

The CL games : we have to be going for two wins,
given that Eintract are match weeks 3/4 next month
(Spurs could then be in control of the group after
then - as was the case in 2010 and 2017) .

The questions are now who of the newcomers are
ready (in Contes' opinion) , and who could "seize
the day" if given an opportunity (Gil, Sarr, Spence) .

Time will tell soon enough ...
