We’ll see. Suspect he’s too good for an option to buy and you’re probably right. Had the sanctions on Chelsea been in place any longer he’d probably be in another Premier League squad Only other thing I’ve seen is he suffered a fairly bad knee injury. Last thing we need is another one on the injury table..
Sorry, just going off the fact he's recently signed a new long term deal there, wouldn't have thought there'd be an option.
There seems to have been some doubt whether he would sign either. And they've gone and signed two young midfielders too. Considering Wimbledon was our competition, I think there's a decent chance we'll have an option. It's not like we've beaten off a flurry of Championship clubs to sign him
Wonder if we’ve had a longstanding interest in Simons? All feels a bit Liam Walshy in that we’re panicking with time running out
Apparently, Watford, Norwich, Southampton and Brighton were also interested in him , fingers crossed he sounds decent.
That would suggest to me no option involved as those sides would likely want him permanently first whereas we may be willing for just a straight loan. Bit like Liam Delap at Stoke, was wanted by Prem sides permanently but instead opted for sending him there
