As long as Willock, Chair and Dieng are still here come midnight, anything else is a bonus

Spot on. Given the last two results and the way the team seem to be gelling, no news is good news for me today. Also, never a big fan of last minute panic signings as so often they aren't well thought through and don't work out well long term.

Happy with a relatively quiet day apart from a mass exodus from Stamford Bridge as one by one their players realise they are on a sinking ship.

Yep.
We all know we need a striker, but losing one or more of those three would be a disaster.
A striker would be nice, but if Willock (5 goals from 5 league games) and Chair (4 league goals so far) continue like this we might have two 20 goal a year players already. Injuries permitting, as always. Not so bothered, what I’d like to see is Roberts scoring some goals. His shooting has been woeful so far. Dykes, lets not expect too much….or anything ……in terms of goals, but I suspect he is adding something to the shape which creates opportunities for others.

I’d be fine if we do zero business in or out today and tomorrow. (Would be great if we could shift a bit of the deadwood though. And personally I’d loan Armstrong to a League One or Two club).

Deadline day should be the day before the season starts - it’s ridiculous you can be 7 games in with the season's teams still not fully formed. Most business still gets done on the last day regardless.
Hard to argue with that Sutfol. Of course with the ‘big-boys’ upstairs in the EPL we have to follow their lead and deadlines so we can feed their teams and take their cast-offs.

Hopefully a couple come in to give cover and competition. A striker would be a nice addition.

Yep, agreed, apart from Armstrong.
I do see what the fuss is about and I'd keep him in the squad this season.

Nice of you to give them both an extra goal each, they have 4 and 3 so far, unless you've seen what's going to happen at Swansea !

Fair enough, I haven’t actually seen him control the ball and do anything with it yet, though I haven’t seen every minute he’s played. He certainly scares defenders with his strength and they like pulling his shirt. Think he needs loads more game time which I doubt he will get with us this year, unless injuries force it. We won’t loan him though by the look of it.

So Blackburn have signed Hirst from Leicester on loan...so Benetton Diaz may move ( to Everton)...but I don't think it will involve us ( and Dykes).

So we are still apparently after a midfielder from either Fulham or Villa.

And Villas Archer may still be looking for a loan

That seems to be the extent of our dealings in

Out
..Bonne may be sold to Bolton, and Thomas may also go.. possibly nico too

Niko always gets such nice loans. Six months in The Maldives is just what he needs.
