His team win 4-0 at Morecambe on Saturday with Will Grigg scoring 2.Manning please.
To be honest if he looked all gloomy and like he was thinking what the **** has happened and what the **** am I going to do he would get slated for not having a clue!
Whether we like it or not Speakman is eating at the top table, managers will follow the money. You can’t expect Sunderland to offer Neil what he wants. People forget there is a wage structure, he is probably being offered more at Stoke, than Speakman is earning here. You won’t get your gaffer offering you more money than he is on. Coaches will also want more money because they wouldn’t want the disparity to expand
**** no way? Cheers for the insight. (Not sure if my post came over as a “he turned us down before so we shouldn’t want him” wasn’t meant that way)He was at Aberdeen, and did well with no budget, nowt for 5 years, fits our set up that.
He turned us down, why because Ellis sent Ally the piss head and his side kick Walter Smith to interview him at Edinburgh airport both were pissed when he met them.
Total lack of respect for our club and him. That's why he said no.
I'd rather Mowbray over Barry. I don't want some short-arse no mark who has zero experience in management taking over when what we really need is stability.
what’s his height got to do with it?
Nothing really, he's just short and would remind me of Lee JohnsonI totally get that it's backward logic.
Fair enough. I wasn't aware of thatTo be fair mate, wasn't Ally McCoist involved with it at the time. My memory isn't great as a lot changed in that time, when I think of Mcinnes I think he was touted then we got Jack Ross and everytime it gets pointed put we got grayson as it was the year before.
I thought at some point ally McCoist and Walter Smith were called in to help us find a manager as we all thought it was going to be them two getting the job?
Quick edit I'm not saying it's not bullshit like as I pointed out at the time he said that it was a done deal and mcinnes was coming he had just had breakfast or something with him and it was done.
I wanted Manning or Barry but upon sleeping on it I think Mowbray is the right next appointment out of those seriously linked at least.
This season needs to be all about stability and the next about pushing for playoffs. Once we are stable here we can try something different to get up. But appointing somebody with no experience now could be a disaster.
My favourite would still be Mark Robins tho. But he signed a new contract in the summer so compensation will be massive (ironic this isn’t it)
Can't see us paying Dyche what he would be asking for. Would have been on millions at BurnleyMowbray 14/1 on sky bet, Dyche favourite
is this the time to experiment with a unknowing we first need to make sure we not be in a relegation battle as going back down would be a disaster Mowbray not my first choice has lots of championship experience and should keep us away from a relegation battle
