Just checking that you are aware that Coventry have only played 2 games this season - both away and drew 1-1 at Sunderland and lost 3-2 away at Millwall - 2 tight games against 2 clubs who have started the season well. By no means an easy game and would be happy with a scrappy win. (that was in response to someone but it didn’t reply to their post for some reason)
Christie should be confirmed today and was presumably signed in time to be available tomorrow, though he's not played recently, so he's not going to start.
The club continues to work on signing Fenerbahce's Dimitrios Pelkas and Brentford striker Halil Dervişoğlu, with a belief within the corridors of power at City that the Greek international's arrival could still be completed before the weekend, though not in time to face the Sky Blues.
The amount of entitlement coming from some of you lot is quite amusing to be honest... I suggest you back couple hundred pages and see where we stood at the start of the transfer window.
If we get these last 2 in and get everyone fit and available the squad will be unrecognisable to last years. Definitely a solid window for a play-off push.
It's got to be an 8 or 9/10 as a window. For Acun's first proper window, it's been mightily impressive
We still need 2 strikers, another RB, LB, CB and that’s assuming Pelkas, Dervisoglu and Christie all sign.
Hull City sign ex-Fulham and Nottingham Forest international The Tigers have bolstered their defensive ranks ahead of the transfer window closing Hull City have beaten off stiff competition to sign Republic of Ireland international Cyrus Christie and hope he will be available to be involved against Coventry City this weekend.
Wishful thinking mate - we've got Christie, we might get Pelkas and Dervisoglu but I reckon that will be it for this window. Let's see how we go until Christmas - I'm sure Shota will have a January shopping list if things are going badly.
We need some specialist subs anarl. Don't want our marquee new larkers to become mere bench warmers. Another seven signings should suffice, I reckon.
I think they'll still be looking at defensive options. There's still plenty of time and with Pelkas pretty much done by all accounts, we should have chance to look around a see who's available
