Okay, replace all the strikers then?

That leaves us with no strikers. Perhaps correct as they are not scoring. But replace with who?

Nothing wrong with Simpson. Thrown in at the deep end at West Brom and we didn't concede.

He came on as sub v Bristol when our game plan was shot with Bagan off injured.

Agreed on Nelson.

Bottom line, no new, capable striker and we will be in a relegation fight. I cant imagine any fans being happy with that.

It was clear with 15 players coming in and no known striker we would be playing with 3 attacking midfielders and 3 forwards with the goals being spread mainly between these. We have scored 3 good goals from open play and the old days of long throw-ins and set play goals a thing of the past. I know one thing, if you get a striker scoring 20 goals and no one else is scoring you will get relegated. We did get a striker..Etette and still all I am hearing is we need strikers to score goals, we have goals in this team and speed and skill and it is my view we will be challenging for promotion at the close of the season so I am not in the least worried. Plenty of teams with strikers have been relegated.
