Hugill s chance may have been beyond our strike force ps Seems Bournemouth could do with a new striker seeing how many chances they missed. Keiffer would have had a hatful!
Well at face value, it shows where his heart is and fair play to him for that. This time next year Rodney, we'll be shouting about how important it is to keep hold of Watters
In Sainsbury's car pack and getting reports of no sign of a striker on offer inside. We might have to wait for the sell by date.
Rashford went 14 games without a goal, Lukaku struggled at Chelsea so a magic goal scoring machine on the cheap is fantasy land, how many times do top strikers fail in one on one with the goalie? point is they are getting a hell of a lot more chances than our players. Etete misses one header so get rid of him...great..that will solve all our problems. West Brom, Norwich and Brum strikers failed to score against us but I am sure they are not dumping their strikers.
Get your point but our strikers are let’s face it totally goal shy. Watters only 1 goal whilst here. Harris 1 goal since December. Etete is very raw. Davies is injured but isn’t a striker. WBA went nap last time out. Norwich have goal scorers and I’d have Hogan from Birmingham right now. Morison needs to get someone in period. It’s his job to find the one.
Look with NG at cb we beat Norwich and Brum and drew with West Brom, we lost to Reading with Nelson at cb and lost to Bristol with Jack Simpson at cb...you are looking at the wrong end of the pitch.
If you don't score you don't win. We have failed to score in 2 games and hardly threatened the opposition goal in the others despite managing to win in 2. Our 3 goals have come from midfielders/winger. Our strikers have not scored in 5 games. We are no longer a threat at set pieces with Flint gone and Morrison unlikely to return. How stark is that?
You’re not wrong. Our problems became apparent at Ashton Gate particularly (1) our vulnerability at defending set pieces; (2) our lack of creativity and dynamism in midfield and (3) strikers missing glaring chances. We will improve (1); as for (2) we have options in midfield and dare I say it but I’d like to see Sang given a chance and (3) well its been said so often the records stuck.
Well lets go back to last season when we lost 8 in a row scored one goal and let in 19...the threat from Flnt was letting in all those goals...and talk about not scoring I think one goal in 8 games lost is tragic. We scored against Norwich and we won, we scored against Brum and we won and although we never scored against West Brom neither did they. We do not need a Madine, Collins or Hugill they are too slow for the way we are now playing and they scored 6 goals between them.Do you want to see passing attacking football or pass the ball back like we had last year?
I want to see us scoring goals. The problem is up front, not at the back. For now, what we have up front is not working. End of story.
