It's incredible how drastically the population is growing without any real discussions about it. The Chinese one child policy was often called barbaric (and it was in terms of the way it was enforced), but without them keeping their population lower, there could already be an extra 500m people on the planet.

It's insane to think that when I was born (mid 80's) there was around 4.7bn people on the planet and now we're at 7.7bn. If you were born in 1960, you were one of 3bn people on the planet and in 1900 the number was half of that. The world must have looked empty back then. So much green and nature.

If I live to a normal age, the population will be around 10 billion by the time I die. We've created an impossible situation for ourselves. Fertility rates have started to decline (due to a rise in women's opportunities in employment, access to contraception etc.) which is absolutely essential for the planet and it's resources. The problem is that the population is growing older and they need youth to support them in terms of paying in to keep the pension pyramid scheme going and actually going to work so the economy continues. Capitalism is going to end the world.

This actually made me laugh out loud.

As I was browsing through the morning news a story popped up about shocked and upset Argos customers firing off a flurry of complaints.

I was intrigued to find out the cause of this outrage. It turns out Argos were shamefully offering a 'two man delivery service' with no regard for the anguish it may cause decent sensitive people who scour the Internet desperately trying to find things to offend them.

Apparently it's grossly sexist to suggest only men are capable of delivering whatever crap Argos sell.

What was funny is that the article carries an advert from an Aid Agency that says,

"Help women and girls living in poverty
ActionAid UK."

I wonder how many of the outraged Argos customers will complain to ActionAid UK regarding their blatant sexism. And how many will put aside their fury at Argos to send a few quid to their sisters who share their pain <doh>

I've just had this message about the shooting in Liverpool where that little 9 year old girl has been killed...

A fella walked up to 2 fellas and started shooting at them they legged it a woman who heard the commotion opened the front door to see what was going on one of the fellas who was getting chased seen the open door and burst in the woman tried to shut the door but couldn't he got in the gunman followed him and she tried to shut the door on him but he got his hand around the door and fired the bullet went right through the woman's arm and into the chest of her 9 years old daughter who was standing behind her he then burst and shot the fella twice then legged it he staggered into her garden then an Audi pulled up with his mates in and they dragged him into the car and took him to Ozzy just leaving the mum and daughter the services turned up and tried to save the girl but couldn't and took her mum to Aintree hospital.They were totally innocent she made the mistake of opening the door. Horrendous.

The complaints don't even make sense - if all of Argos' delivery people are male then why wouldn't they put "2 man delivery"? It would make sense (but would still be absurd) if they were hiring a "delivery man" but that's not what they're doing.

I see that american trash Megan Markle is at it again, for someone who doesnt want to work in the public domain she certainly tries her best to stay in it ! Call me cynical but the way she goes on makes her a target for some nut-job to take retribution somewhere down the line.

I am envious of the young people enjoying themselves so much on Friday and Saturday nights. Being old is my revenge!
