I think it's time to stop mocking the Salisu throw ins. Not only is he getting more length on them - our first goal seemed to come straight off the training ground. JWP looked straight at the bench when Adams scored. It's a genuine weapon now.
The discussion of Delap's long throws came up the other day. That was back when I used to go regularly and I am convinced that he was not as good at them when with us as he was when he was at Stoke. Sure we didn't really use them or play around them but I think he also got a lot better with practice

And having as a target a unit like ABK who doesn’t get pushed around and who seems to have a decent first touch is important too.

My wife does personalised decorated bottles of Freixenet as gifts, a few a week usually, has been doing them for years.
We met Jean-Cristophe Mau a few years ago, who was the top guy in the group that owned the brand and he reckoned she was the largest private buyer of Freixenet in the UK :emoticon-0102-bigsm

It's not a bad tipple to be honest, and prefer it to most Prosecco
Such enthusiasm!
I hope she gets to drink some too

And most of our throws end up with us losing posession in risky areas so even an unsuccesful long throw into their area is better

But being ½ Italian, I can't touch Spanish sparkling wine and have to go with Prosecco ;)
No, being 1/2 Italian you only have to dring Prosecco half the time
I'm 100%(ish) European so I can have the best of everything without being the victim of blind patriotism :D

Hang on a minute, isn't this the match thread :bandit:

EDIT: Giving up wine isn't very Italian

Bit late here but having now watched our goals they were both clearly training ground routines
Che knew where to go as that throw came in and we've used the KWP to JWP for the angle on the curling cross a few times now

If they double up on the WPs to stop that then there'll be space elsewhere and BK is the perfect guy to have in there for the Salisu long-throws

That's the only killer for me. A nice glass of full bodied red with my home made pasta.

In fairness, to go completely off topic, I gave up for 'sober for October' last year and kept it up. Up until about March i was constantly thinking oh what the heck I may as well drink (ie it wasn't for medical reasons), but now it doesn't even occur to me. Don't miss it at all and get no urges.

Funny to think that our two centre backs made the goal :)

The response to going behind was first class. Moussa was incredible at LB given he's not a LB. And Che - WOW! What an impact from the bench. One of my best away days.

Agreed! So many good performances across the team. One of my best away days too, the atmosphere was so good throughout but was incredible after the equaliser!

Great to hear that. Fully tied up yesterday with a Golden Wedding party etc. Restrained my joy at the result and will watch the MOD on iPlayer later. Thought we might get something out of this. Delighted for all concerned, must have been a better journey home for those able to go and watch the game especially.

Aren’t they all just posh ciders?

Good work, I gave up 7 years ago. Never looked back!

Hope the wedding party went well and that you have enjoyed and savoured MOTD. The journey home was spent pinching ourselves and asking each other whether it really happened.

It was my sons first ever away day and he loved every minute it but I did point out as Saints fans it’s not always like this!

I think the only song I heard the Leicester fans ‘sing’ was about the result we never mention. That made our victory even sweeter when the final whistle was blown.

I think you may be adopted :bandit:
