I'm not long back from Mossel Bay in The Garden Route in South Africa, We bought a house there about 2 years ago ready for retirement so went down to have a look around. Really stunning place, amazing beaches, outstanding restaurants and unlike the big cities in South Africa very very safe. Anyone looking for a different place to visit, consider it...you will not be disappointed.
You're spot on Ozzy, I've joined as a country member at Mossel Bay Golf Club....outstanding track, but the town and surrounding area reminds me of the little towns on the California west coast...but the main difference id the price...everything is so cheap
Love the west coast of California, especially from around Monterey up to the Oregon border. Hmm, 10,000km's. closer than California
Have you had your day on the Cabanas yet ?? Ours had a cooler box conveniently located to the right side of the bed, it got topped up 3 times if I remember rightly. Me and the wife were blitzed by the time we got back to the room
Off to Rhodes for a couple of weeks next month. Couple of days up Rhodes Town then a villa down Pefkos for rest of holiday. Can't wait.
Few days in Dublin is the closest I got to a summer holiday this year, great city and plenty quinny memorabilia in the pubs
Class, I had my arse dragged across the sea in one of those chair things, never again ! Enjoy the rest of your holidays
Couple of pics from today. Portpatrick, and a quiet one in my newly acquired Moretti glass. Didn't nick it, I asked in a bar if I could buy one, and was given it free....barman said he was happy to give me it, as most people just nicked them. I put a few quid in the RNLI box in lieu of payment....
Very generous of you. Can I book last week in July/first week in August for next year? Are towels included?
My House in Mossel Bay has a self contained apartment.....you're more than welcome....( At Not606 rates )
