What a turnaround in performance!! We were much improved second half, Wright and Evans really showed the value of experience at this level. Clarke and Embleton both improved in the second half as well and most of the rest were industrious, if unspectacular. Our best player for me though was Cirkin. Excellent performance from the lad and hopefully we see more of him bringing the ball into midfield.

Oh, and our fans sounded fantastic!

One minor thing though, Alex Neil should fine the next player that gets booked for shirt pulling. Such slack fouls to give away, really poor discipline and Clarke getting one after seeing Neil sent off on Wednesday and 2 players booked for it already today just seems a bit dumb.

Great result.
Bare bones of a team but great shape great battling. Alex Neil written all over that. Clubs on the up and we are a bloody good football team these days

We're not according to the Irish bloke commentating on BBC Stoke, if you read between the line he was pretty much calling us ****e

The buzz around the club is great currently. Properly back Alex Neil in the next couple of weeks and we can take off.

I'm all for sustainability and natural growth, but I also think there's moments in life where you just need to seize the opportunity staring you in the face. This club has it's mojo back right now and momentum is the most powerful force in football. 4 key signings could drastically change the trajectory of this club.
