hes always been inconsistent though

that’s his big issue imo

when he plays well...he’s great

Pre Conte he was but I think for most of Conte’s reign he’s been really good. He’s a leader at the back as well, plus can communicate in different languages. I don’t think he’s an issue that needs replacing tbh, though today’s just not been his day.

Big 3 points that after an awful first half.

Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Perisic and Kulu all had great second halves. MOTM between any of them.

I’ll take him having a stinker and keeping a clean sheet all day long!
Great result that. Much better performance second half.

Perisic, Hojberg played well today and thought Richarlison was a firecracker when he came on…his goal is coming soon

Sorted for you :emoticon-0148-yes:
Hojbjerg & Kulu certainly improved. I thought Perisuic was ok throughout. I like Bentancur, but thought he was poor today. Maybe the ways the teams set up didn't help, but he seemed to lack any positivity.

Just take the points and move on...

Is anybody keeping a list of ex players who do not like us ? If you are add Paul Parker , spent most of the game giving us grief

Sanchez is a decent box defender, but he's so limited in all other aspects of his game. Scares the **** out of me and I wouldn't mind betting Diers poorer performance had something to do with having him alongside.

Reactions: The Changing Man
Bentancur and Hojbjerg’s change in aggression and play was the major difference for me.

I felt our issues weren’t about numbers in midfield or even lacking creativity, it was just a case of those two not looking to take the game to Wolves. Second half though they done what we wanted, bossed the Wolves midfield, won a number of tackles and got the ball moving nicely - more importantly, forward. Hojbjerg especially went up a few notches, showing why we shouldn’t entertain any potential Madrid bids should they arrive. Their improved second half also got Kane and Kulu on the ball far more and the latter was causing havoc down that right because of it.

Perisic though… :emoticon-0115-inlov. Feel like a kid at Christmas who got the console he wanted and is now enjoying playing it. Absolute ****ing baller.

Are we 7 points better off than the corresponding games last season?

much better second half. The real tests will come when we start playing in the CL.

Bentancur does seem to have problems against teams who press, as he was also poor against Chelsea last week when they were swarming us

Obviously he doesn't become a liability when pressed like Harry Winks does, but that's two straight games where we've been shown that a different pivot is needed against certain tactics
