Am not sure what a Deet is - nor what "been munched" means...Good Afternoon All... Much the same here in Hue, some proper tropics rain in the middle of the afternoon. Our driver had to stop for twenty-five minutes and we couldn't see across the river even while stationary. I have to say that Vietnam is well worth the trip, go if you can. Love the people, the food, the architecture, the rich history, the ethnic diversity, and the absence of bitterness, perceived or otherwise, following the "American War" as it is (rightly) called here.
We visited three families of different social standings and had a wonderful time, culminating in a traditional foot bath and a fantastic meal. An outstanding day.
Unfortunately the Deet hasn't quite done it's job properly: we've been munched. Ho hum.
Deet is the generic name for mosquito repellent. Munched means having been bitten. We also wash in citronella soap. Alas...Am not sure what a Deet is - nor what "been munched" means...
Alas we seem to have left the Avon spray, as recommended by the Scottish RFU for keeping midges at bay, back in Blighty. That stuff certainly works back home.Deet is the generic name for mosquito repellent. Munched means having been bitten. We also wash in citronella soap. Alas...

Have had more than enough experience of mozzies as an Aussie - where there are only two known repellents that work. The first is a camp fire on which to burn dry cow pats & the second a skinful of Bundaberg rum. I can attest to both.Deet is the generic name for mosquito repellent. Munched means having been bitten.
