Really, well he definitely has experience and is very well respected. If he is to come in then must mean he would be the guy in the middle barking the orders.
Vertonghen was too slow for the PL three years ago; I shudder to think of him in a high line now. Leadership qualities are great, but not if you're an utter liability, and we shouldn't be contemplating sticking with a formation that doesn't suit our team in order to shoehorn him in.
