I am seeing a fella tomorrow who has in the past had some very good contacts in the football agent world. I havent seen him for over a year, so maybe things have changed. He used to give me all sorts of signed footy stuff from the premier league for some charity stuff I do. He reckons he has some excellent stuff for me tomorrow as well, so hoping his contacts still there. I will see what he knows re transfers, if anything.
I don't think AN is blameless for the result tonight. Away from home against a much better side and he plays 3 attacking midfielders in the centre of the park. 09 at CB when you need a holding mid and have 2 CBs on the bench. Battling performance, but still a few issues with the squad/ lineup & formation for me.
My only fear is our very positive start has yielded just one win in four. That might seem a negative spin. But wins are so important. I really think we will be fine. But we need to make sure we win when we deserve to, as there will be plenty of games we don’t.
I think we've missed out on only QPR in terms of wins we deserved. Don't want a pattern of conceding to become the norm again though.
we have signed Jewison benette for £1.1m but due to the refs we are going back down this season so cannot get exited by owt now.
I was saying about a week before the season started I'd be happy with a no fuss mid table finish as going into the first game we didn't have the squad or at that time the signing coming through the door to genuinely compete and that's OK as we're newly promoted. We need a nice mix of youth and experience in the Championship. We don't really have that. there's about 2 weeks of the window left so there is still time to get bodies through the door so we shall wait and see. But judging on whom we have brought it so far, we will continue to bring in the likes of youth players from Arsenal, with hopefully one or two that know the leauge.
I've been saying about needed experience from the off and quite frankly I thought we would have brought more in than we have. But there's still 2 weeks left of the window, so we will see.
