Crystal Palace defender Joachim Andersen says he has received 300-400 abusive messages on Instagram after he was involved in an incident that saw Liverpool's Darwin Nunez sent off.

Andersen posted examples of the abuse, some of which included death threats.

He has called on Instagram and the Premier League to act.

"Got maybe 3-400 of these messages last night," the 26-year-old said. "I understand you support a team but have some respect and stop act tough online."

He added: "Hope Instagram and the Premier League do something about this."

 

He receives abuse for GETTING headbutted?
I mean, he made a meal of it, im sure, as all football players do these days. But its Nunez who should be getting the abuse, if you headbutt someone on the pitch these days, however softly, the players are gonna drop like a sack of **** and writhe in pain ala Willem Defoe in Platoon with the adagio for strings music playing in the background.
That's just a reality of the modern game!
Dont touch players faces with your hands, elbows or forehead and you cant open yourself up to it, simple

Just watched the Spurs Chelsea highlights.

How on earth was it not offisde?

Richarlison is standing right in the eyeline of the goalkeeper with the ball coming from behind him.

I don't get these officials.

 

I generally dont like to blame the referee's too often, but this performance for me, is right up there with Ovrebo in terms of incompetence in a Chelsea game.
I just hope some of our idiot fans dont start sending the guy death threats
