Richarlison is standing right in the eyeline of the goalkeeper with the ball coming from behind him.

Crystal Palace defender Joachim Andersen says he has received 300-400 abusive messages on Instagram after he was involved in an incident that saw Liverpool's Darwin Nunez sent off.

Andersen posted examples of the abuse, some of which included death threats.

He has called on Instagram and the Premier League to act.

"Got maybe 3-400 of these messages last night," the 26-year-old said. "I understand you support a team but have some respect and stop act tough online."

He added: "Hope Instagram and the Premier League do something about this."

I'm not implying Andersen deserved to get abusive messages or that those fans that sent abusive messages aren't keyboard-warrior twat thugs...

... But I will point out the way Andersen fell to the ground grasping his face was a bit drama-queenie and twatish too.

Obviously Darwin deserved a red, there is zero justification for what he did and it has impacted my opinion of him... But Andersen didn't do himself any favours with that flop.

A percentage of fans from all clubs are ****s...he might deserve booing etc at the ground, I think all players accept that but ****ed if I understand the SM ****.

I've said similar when my teams players have overreacted too. One of my least favourite players of all time is Harry Kewell because of the diving he did in a red shirt. (When it was slightly less common).

Look, Darwin 100% to blame. Not only that but stupidly easily provoked into doing something incredibly idiotic. Andersen isn't the only player who would have dropped like he was shot in that situation, it's a symptom of the modern game. Still a little ****ish... But yeah, I'm not in anyway saying Darwin isn't the main villain here... Nor am I excusing the twats sending Andersen hate... Just saying he was a little bit ****ish in his reaction and I can see what upset some people. Personally, I rolled my eyes and grinned a little when I saw how he dropped. I found it mildly amusing.
