Woods, Halil and Pelkas due in. The attacking PL player isn’t Halil - someone else that they are still working on. Interesting I wonder who? That’s some squad that we’re assembling.

If we are getting Halil and Pelkas then I hope the other attacking player is someone whos natural position is on a wing.

It is indeed, almost one which you would think could challenge for top 10 (maybe top 6).

I personally would be happy with a real challenge next year.

We're really really going for it, aren't we?

This isn't a top six squad, it's a top 2 squad. The volume of new players will probably cost us this year

It might, but the bulk of the squad has now had 3-4 games together and looking to gel already, and we haven't dropped any games yet. So if anything the chemistry should only improve from here.

If it was going to be the integration of new players that was going to cost us I would have expected to have a slow start.

Possibly, but atm everyone including the squad is riding a positive wave, I think a key indicator will be how we react when we lose a game.

Appreciate that, but feel it's wise to play it down.

We've currently got a threadbare side, no bench and a new squad, yet we're 2nd. As long as everything goes to plan, our forward options look like a joke.

I’m all for depth but Oscar, Tetteh, Sayyadmanesh, Longman, Sinik, Halil, Pelkas, Tufan, Traore and a mystery number 10 is outrageous for 3/4 positions.

Wonder if they see Tufan as a long term partner to Seri?

That's very true (although we did lose in the League Cup and bounce back), but I suppose every side goes through that, I'm just saying that the numbers we've brought in becomes less of a stumbling block the more games we get into the season, and the less we drop during that period the better. Every side will go on bad runs, but I have more confidence in getting through that with a settled squad than if it was happening now. Oscar scoring two for instance gives him such a burst of confidence that wouldn't have been there if we were going into GW10 and he still hadn't scored.

Sadly feels like Longman's gotten injured at the worst possible time. This sort of thing can happen and in a few months he could well be a forgotten man and on his way out. I certainly hope that's not the case, but I've seen that sort of thing plenty of times before.

I think Tufan is wasted higher up. He finds spaces lovely, but a player of his class, I want him on the ball as much as possible.

We're still pretty short in midfield, we had something like 7 midfielders last year and they all got game time.

I cant wait for one of those long distance efforts to make the net ripple. It’s coming, one of the best ball strikers this club has seen, I could watch his shooting in the warm up all day

I just worry Tufan and Seri would be overrun without the safety of a Jones alongside them or 3 CBS behind. On paper we should have one of the best midfields in the league though
