Totally agree, and that’s not a political response, he’s clearly not mentally capable of holding down any responsible job, neither in industry or elsewhere.

I can only speak on what I’ve seen but he’s had more gaffs so far as president than George Dubya and Trump in their entire terms combined. And it’s not dopeyness like Dubya and/or ignorance like Trump; Biden looks like he has serious cognitive issues.

I have no doubt, the US is riddled with them. A certain former president allowing drone strikes that killed a lot civilians and then criticising his successor for Afghanistan springs to mind.

Obama did more dropping of bombs than Trump. Deported 4 times as many per annum as well.

Ah but what is truth?

When I was younger I liked the work of Foucault on this

Now I'm older I can't remember and don't really care...

It's all just opinions, like trying to persuade the person of faith that the scientific explanation of creation is 'true' & vica versa...

Time to redecorate the wormhole at the end of my back garden methinks. It's relatively old fashioned.:emoticon-0100-smile:emoticon-0105-wink:

There's a hell of a lot of double standards from various quarters, but this thread is wandering close to a lock as it is.
Why not just ban any discussion of politics, or lunatic conspiracy theories (including in the Covid thread), rather than threatening to shut down a thread because someone posts something you disagree with?

i'm sure. i haven't found suitable interpreters for here yet though. i've decided, after a lifetime of always voting, that there appear to be no parties left that i'm prepared to vote for. might have to revert to choosing the least worst. makes no odds when it's a general election though.

It's like being asked to pick the best turd out of a cesspit. Your still gonna end up with a piece of ****.

Given the known facts we have about the Universe - in terms of it's size, age and makeup - there's a probability of just less than one half that intelligent life exists elsewhere.

However, there's a slightly less than **** all chance that this less than 50% likely lifeform has developed the wherewithal to travel to Earth and then hide.

Only coming out every now and then to piss on road signs or whatever they're supposed to do.

Why bother?

I think we're still searching for it on this rock. <laugh>

the art of war:

18. All warfare is based on deception.

19. Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near.

I’m right behind you on that.

That's one of my favourite Father Ted clips. <ok>
