This is what our first league table looks like - I did say that the winner was the one with the fewest points didn't I ??? Despite very few goals going in in our featured matches (only Hull v Bristol City produced more than 2) it was quite a high scoring round on here. Matej is our first leader with a score of 109. Hackney is in second with 105 - this is remarkable because it was based only on 3 matches And Mark has slotted into third. Apologies that the league table is later than usual - this is the result of waiting for monday night games.​

Just been through it again Bodbo - 90 was correct. It was calculated as follows:
10 for tipping
3 for Blackburn winning
3 for Cardiff winning
25 for the correct scoreline on Hull City (2-1)
9 x 2 (joker) = 18 for Middlesbrough
25 for the correct scoreline on Sunderland (1-1)
and 6 for Watford's win.

Hull's late winner took 25 away from me and gave them to you I could have done with a Sunderland winner but the late goal went in at the wrong place as usual

Thx for re-checking. Sorry to give you unnecessary work. I had missed the Hull result. It's such a shock to get anything above about 20 !

Here is the table after the second round. There were some highish scores and also some very low ones, which is to be expected with very little form to go on. Once again there were no away wins in our featured games which is unusual. There was nothing I could do about the postponement of the Coventry fixture on the Sunday but fortunately no jokers were placed on it. Matej has preserved his place in first and Mark has moved up into second - I have also preserved my place from last week NZ has moved up into third. Highest score of the round was by Simon (here under his Dad's name) with 97. Otherwise the scoring was moderate - and disastrous in some cases. The fixtures are up for next weekend and punctual tipping is asked for because the Horns play on the friday night.​

All points scored on Watford matches are doubled so the absolute maximum possible on one match is 70 points. 2 x 25 points and 2 x the 10 point bonus in the event of a unique scoreline.

I forgot to post predictions this week except for the Watford match but felt it would give you all a chance to make hay before my inevitable plummet to the bottom of the league as usual, I am after you Cologne

Hi Scully. In order to get the absolute maximum on one match you would have needed to be the only poster to tip the scoreline correctly. For a normal match (ie. not a Watford one or your joker) that would be 25 points plus 10 for the 'unique' scoreline (ie. if you were the only one to get it). So the absolute maximum would be 35 doubled - but this only applies if you are the only one to tip a scoreline correctly. Several other posters tipped 1-1 for the Watford result.

All change at the top this week. Mark has taken over top place with a score of 85, with a positive earthquake just behind as the highest score of the round (128) moves Charlie up from 11th to second. This through being the only one to tip the Watford scoreline correctly - a few of us went for 2-1 but Charlie was the only 1-0 tip. Scully also moved up the table in rapid fashion with the second highest score of 112, moving him from 14th to 4th. The other 100 scoreline was by JT Bodbo. At last the Horns move onto real weekend matches next week.​

Here is what it all looks like after the completion of the 4th round. Once again we have a new leader, this time our defending champion from last season who, with a score of 95 has jumped up from seventh. This was the second highest score of the day with Frenchie topping that with 98. Mustyfrog also did well with a weekly score of 88. Still all very close at the top, also elsewhere in the table it looks close as you would expect after only 4 rounds. Apart from the 3 high scores it was miserable fair for many of us this week. Any jokers which were placed on the Coventry match I moved onto the next available fixture which was the game at the Load of Rust stadium (anagram of Loftus Road in case anyone is still working that out ) ​

Once again we have a change at the top with Mark moving ahead of Charlie, who remains in second. All very close up there with only 32 points separating the top 6 places and so changes are to be expected. Sad weekend with the Horns losing their unbeaten record. Our highest scorer was Andy and our lowest was Mrs Andy - any story behind that one ? Anyway, Andy moved up to 9th with a score of 99. Other than that no really high scores around. Things are also very close lower down the table and so high scores can really make an impression on the table at the moment.​
