Agree about Kakay, think he's done well in both of these first 2 games. He had a difficult afternoon against the speed of Giles but ended up giving him as good as he got.

He had a tough but good match. Quite a few dangerous low crosses came in from their left wing in the 2nd half. He was busy!

The steam was taken out of Boro's last throw by the sending off...
But I would have loved to see what Bonne would have done, he had turned the player and was on his way to goal...so a 100% a sending off.....
But would he have scored......we will never know.

Late to the party but...
For the first time in many years our manager got the substitutions spot on and won us the game into the bargain. How refreshing.
Paal looked very good second half.
Willock is too good for this league sadly.
If only Dykes could translate a fraction of his energy and effort into good touch he would be a top striker. He can't.
Kakay did ok but we still looked exposed down our left most of the game. A hole that needs to be filled.
Johannsen is likely to become a liability later in the season.
Dickie and Dunne looked solid as can be but somehow we still gave up two goals from within the six-yard box. I know nothing about football.

Middlesbrough have been boosted by the news that Darragh Lenihan will only miss their Carabao Cup clash with Barnsley on Wednesday evening after being sent off against QPR on Saturday.

There was some uncertainty that the club had to clarify because of the difference in punishment depending on the offence. FA disciplinary rules set out that the 'denial of a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity' is a one-match suspension, whereas a straight red deemed to be 'serious foul play' carries a three-match punishment.

They obviously do not know Bonne...it was nowhere near..."an obvious goal-scoring opportunity".....for Bonne.

In fact he was poleaxed

Having seen the replay how that was not serious foul play is beyond me......... Bonne could have been badly injured......
