When you are brain dead you are brain dead, nothing you can do to change that, but I certainly wouldn’t want to be the doctor who has to tell the parents. Does anybody know what happened to the poor lad?

From all accounts there is a TikTok craze going around (been going for years apparently) when you hold your breath until you pass out but his man found him with a ligature around his neck.

Bloody hell mate I didn’t know that, poor little lad, I assumed he’d had a aneurysm or something similar.
There has been a few kids died of the same thing. TikTok have three separate law suits (getting sued) against them stating they need to change the algorithm as it is pushing this sort of thing in peoples time line or something (don’t have TikTok so don’t know exactly) from three separate families.

No mate I don’t either, hopefully it should be on his computer, if that’s what it was and they get caught.

There are many children dying every day, often in tragic circumstances so this isn't unusual. What makes it so is that the mother, and the family, decided they knew better than all available medical advice. There's a growing culture of people wanting to take things to the highest courts which isn't always appropriate imo.
I'm pretty sure we'd all do the same if it was our kids dying.

Harsh as usual. I'm sure you don't believe what you're writing and just like to always stand out.

Depending on what and where you read, the rumours of how he came to be in hospital vary from an online challenge gone wrong to he hung himself. The mam's story also changes around how she found him changes a few times as well.

Either by accident or design the poor lad ended up in hospital unable to be saved.

The circus that has followed and the language used by the family have been scandalous and at best ill advised. The fact the main stream media have reported the comments without even a hint of balance or correction is and has been a disgrace.

Even yesterday as life support was removed and he finally passed away, sky news had the full comments from a family member where she incorrectly stated he had "suffocated" add this to the previous comments using terms like "execution" and it adds up to an absolute **** show.

I have read most of the court papers and the advice given to the family has been at best awful and at worst reckless. I am waiting for the charges to come from the family against the hospital

I don't believe that's the case at all.

You're also totally wrong with your second claim.

I always post what I believe because I see many posters in real life so have to be able to justify what I say ...

... only sad internet heroes, like yourself, believe there's any merit is 'standing out' on a little chat forum.

Perhaps you could try sticking to the thread topic, now and again, instead of obsessing about a particular poster and continually stalking them round the threads.

You're just being harsh and trying to stand out tbf.

Let’s not get narky on this thread eh? I can understand the mother wanting to cling on to the faintest glimmer of hope. You’ve got to work through things. If you say ok switch off the life support, it’s like you’re the one killing him. If you go through the courts then it’s the court who decides, not the mother. I have nothing but sympathy for the family.

The family don't believe that life support should have been stopped though.

Despite all the medical evidence proving the poor lad was brain stem dead back in May with no hope of recovery they persisted with legal challenges. The family have had terrible advice and encouragement. The last court papers confirmed his organs where showing signs of necrosis, yet the family insisted on and still insist that the hospital "executed"their son and his treatment is "barbaric"

All fair enough mate.
I lost my first son Gordon, after four days when we could've prolonged the inevitable for weeks, perhaps months.

But sometime it's kinder to accept the tragedy and allow things to proceed peacefully with dignity ... just my opinion.
