Season 22/23 kicks off with a visit to the redeveloped Craven Cottage where i once saw Bobby Moore and Rodney Marsh strutting their stuff proving once again that almost anything went in the 70's.

I'm quietly confident mate, think Man City have gone backwards in squad depth but obviously Haaland makes their first team stronger.

Dias, Haaland and KDB are key for them and they are all injury prone.

And silva. He was back to his best last season.

Let's hope he forces a move by going on strike.

I actually think their key man is ederson at the back. Take him put and they literally have no-one at all to replace.
 
Laporte being out for a month helps. Ake and stokes just not same quality.

Cancelo looked horrible at LB. Was good going forward but Salah ran him ragged. Must be his new number 7 shirt, forgot he actually has to defend as well.

The 5 subs is the main one.

But having clubs now forced to have 8 match balls and ball boys (who cannot just lob a second ball on the park to timewaste either) is about time.

I personally think one of the main culprits in timewasting is keepers. Pickshite's performance against us should be analysed and put in for rule changes.

Falling on ball unnecessarily
Holidaying ball for a full minute
Taking 90 seconds min over goal kicks etc.

There should be a time wasting free kick or some such that can be given against players that's a genuine risk rather than the idle threat of yellow cards no ref wants to give.

It'll be interesting to see how we bring nunez into the side over the next month and if Elliott can push for a position.
