Tbf Ali can play for another 5 years easily.

vvd similar. Seen how good silva has been at 37. Admittedly vvd will lose some pace but all other aspects should be good for a while. In theory expect him to still be number 1 for another 2/3 years. Who knows what situation will be by then.

Robbo could be an issue. Although guy doesn’t stop running so seems very fit and may be able to keep going. Maybe we’ll see more of tsimikas this year?

 

This is point I made earlier about we missing those players from 22-27 who should be in and approaching prime. We have a gap between the first 3 around 30 and the kids in Jones Elliott carvahlo who are teenagers or 21 in Jones case.

I don’t think it’s cause for concern as the club obviously know about it and I’ve klopps here for another 4 years, can’t see him letting this team just grow old.

like we did with the front 3, we replaced mane and firmino with Jota Nunez and diaz who are 23-25 when brought.

Can see us doing exactly same with midfield next summer.

Also have to remember that 30 isn’t the same as it was 10-15 years ago. Once players hit 30 they were a couple years from retirement Now you look and have Milner, silva, Ronaldo, lewandowski, all playing top level into late mid-late 30s and plenty of others in early 30s. Players keep themselves so much fitter these days that the very best can extend their careers and their prime for an extra 2-3 years

 

Never said they couldn't play for a long time yet, it was purely about age
